Found Aztar Indiana cash (1 Viewer)

Just throwing this out, looking to put together a cash set and have narrowed down to either Aztar Indiana or Horseshoe Cincinnati. Being from Louisville I've played at both over the years and think it would be cool to use these for a home game. Since HS can still be bought from Chip Exchange, I thought I would see if there are any racks out there of Aztars going unused and ready for a new home. Looking for fracs, $1s, and $5s, and possibly a few barrels of $25s. Not in a hurry and willing to build over time, just wanted to see what was out there. Sorry for the lengthy wanted post!

I have a couple of barrels of Aztar $5, if you’re interested in them. Two different batches. A few appeared to have been oiled. Used condition but happy to send your way if interested.

I'm really in New Albany, but it's much easier to say Louisville haha. Those look awesome! Thanks for showing some in game pron. I don't have a regular cash game as of now, but looking to start one in the coming months, so just trying to get a rack here and there as they are available. Thanks for reaching out!

That's my cash set. 2 racks of $1, 2 racks of snappers relabeled (gear) as quarters, 1 rack of $5. Great set.

FYI...just be conscious of the condition of the Aztars you are looking at and the fact that there are primaries and secondaries available. I wanted Evansville Aztars for the same reason but had no idea how worn they were until 5 racks of them were delivered.

I agree completely on condition. Mine were in better condition then expected except for the 25 and it was the condition it thought they’d all be.

If your build any kind of cash set you better start thinking of a chip to relabel as a frac. Those are sometimes hard to come by.

My view on the condition of the Aztars is a little different than what posted above. The only chips I found was in pretty bad shape was the Primary $1s. The Primary $25s are well worn, and not in an ideal condition, but passable IMO. The Primary $5s are in good shape, way better than I thought.

All in all, the Aztars IN overall are in way better shape than some other casino used sets like the Empress, Garden City, some of the Horseshoes, etc... I've had them all.

For me, this is what I'd say about the Aztars:

Primary:
$1 - The worse of the bunch. Kinda dirty and with lots of nicks.
$2.50 - Shaper-ish edges but with some nicks.
$5 - Good shape. Casino used but not a lot of flee bites.
$25 - Okay. Kinda rounded edges but still better than the the sets above.
$100 - Also casino used but better than the $25s and the $5s.
$500 - Similar to the $100s
$1K - Great shape with some rack marks.

Secondary:
$1 - Good shape
$2.50 - Never had them.
$5 - Surprisingly, in similar shape than the Primaries. I was expecting better. Still not super worn.
$25 - Great shape, slightly used.
$100 - Great shape, almost mint.
$500 - Great shape, almost mint.
$1K - Mint

All the chips I have were bought directly from The Chip Room. What happens sometimes is that with time, and with people selecting the best and selling the rest, some racks available might not represent the average condition of the chips. Ot maybe I just got lucky.

Here's a picture of my cash set. I don't think I have picture of my Az tourney set, using the Secondaries starting at T5. If I do, I'll post later.

Yay Aztar Indiana pics (y) :thumbsup: I wish I had taken a pic of my final sized set before selling but here's one that's missing over 1000 chips. Basically if you buy enough 1's, you should be able to get a decent condition set of them. I bought about 1500 and kept the best 900. After some cleaning, they were pretty good. 25's are the same way ....buy a ton and cherry pick the good ones. My 100's and 500's had nice edges
