Howdy folks, I finally got around to finishing up my table so I could put my new Tina (Justin) chips out. Credit where credit is due, the colors and overall design of the chip is blatantly borrowed from Cratty's brilliant Dunes of Arrakis chips. I did the design on the labels. It's a silhouette of our town's courthouse - our recognizable landmark. Verde - we call our house CasaVerde. A quick review - For the price, I don't think this type of chip can be beat - especially if you want a custom chip. Justin, at Broken Arrow Cardroom Supply, makes ordering them very easy with his group buys. I would absolutely recommend his group buys if you are contemplating some custom chips. I ordered about 700 chips with small denominations (our game has used these small denominations for years) I have yet to find a blemish or a label that isn't centered. Edge spots line up. Not a single spinner. The dimensions and weights are very, very consistent. 39mm diameter and 9g weights. The sound is not nearly as plastic as I thought they'd be. When shuffling or splashing, they sound very similar to a Paulson. I was surprised. The sound is just barely higher pitched, but on a table, nobody except for us knuckleheads, would likely ever notice. They feel pretty good, the texture helps. If I could change 1 thing about the chip mold, it would be to have a more square edge - similar to the Paulson. But for 1/10th the price of a custom clay or Paulson, I don't think you can go wrong. They stack well and fit the racks perfectly. I'm already designing a new chip design for tournaments - that's how much I like these chips. Great value.
