The $25s house mold chip is such a pain. Dunes $25 is your best shot or just paying face value for a rack of resort worlds lol.
Then if you go resort world $25s you can go Dunes $100. And keep the Harrahs $500 bc that will also be problematic.
The house mold flamingo + Sundance already is a banger! Booyah!

I can agree with this.
Over the years I've been in this I can only really think about a few house mold $25s. Dunes, Tropicana and Sundance.
Then you've got Isle of Capri $25s, Golden Nugget LV. That's basically it.
You can go to any casino and generally buy a rack of $25s without a problem, I've done it at Resorts World. It'll cost $2500, but that way you would have a rack of $25s.

Buying a rack at a casino doesn't work for me because I am looking for leaded only; I want to make this as difficult as possible

Dunes $25 is my backup option, I know I can find those in NM condition. I like the Dunes $25 as a standalone chip, but it's a muted chip and I wasn't sure whether a muted chip really goes with my $1s and $5 but perhaps having a muted $25 actually works. I've done mixed sets before in which having one muted color denomination works really well when the rest of the set is loud/bright etc.

Are these leaded?
So what most of us have done is gotten Dunes $25 / Sundance $25. Sundance $25 isn’t an option for you since you have the $5.Buying a rack at a casino doesn't work for me because I am looking for leaded only; I want to make this as difficult as possible
Concludes Dunes $25, and a house mold $100…most of us go with Tropicana $100. You can find racks of those but they are expensive.
I like what you did w the Harrahs tbh.
Hopefully something else comes out of the closet too!

It's a pretty sweet start to a mixed set, but now I feel compelled to land the plane by nailing the $25s and $100s versus settling lol
I've never felt them in my life, but I know there's tons of guys on here with them so hopefully we find out soon!

I’ve also argued that one denomination can certainly be a THC mold as you build a “house mold set”. Bc it’s still a unique mold.

Given all of the issues and lack of options associated with finding an appropriate leaded $25 chip, repeating casinos in the set probably is the one that would bother me the least. At this point I’m leaning toward using Dunes $25 since it satisfies all my criteria, but then also have Sundance $25 as a secondary $25 (if I come across a rack in good enough condition). Let’s face facts, at this point this mixed set is heading down the same path as all of my mixed sets, I’m gonna end up with 2-3 options for each denomination and it’s gonna turn into a choose your own adventure, mix and match mixed set. See below for examples of mixed sets that arguably are getting out of hand

I don't mind it at all. I'm a proponent of best spots on the chips that will be on the felt the most, and the $5 seems like one that will be in play a lot in most games from the folks around here.
