I'm not on the up and up when it comes to poker chips, it's just not my forte.

I have a cash set which I quite like, but not being so particular with chips I am ok downgrading to a cheaper set so I am thinking of selling my current BCC cash set get get something else like CC Dunes or CC pharaohs for cash, maybe CPS.

From what I see on the forums, nice crisp BCC chips are in high demand. There's not many micro cash sets out there so I don't know if it increases or decreases the value of my set. I'd like to ask those in the know roughly how much my set is worth. If it's worth a pretty penny, I will probly put them up for sale.

I'm no photographer so I'm using the pics from the person who sold these to me. They are still in pretty much the same condition, used maybe 20 times since I acquired them, and the nickels have rarely been put into play. I have roughly 600+.

Advantage: I live & work near Gear Labels, so if anyone would want to label these then I could work with him and label them before shipping them out.

They are pretty cool. I'd like a shit at them too :)

Value is tough -- it's whatever people will pay, really. You could run an auction for them?

This is a great breakdown for a micro-ish stakes cash set. It's also a great design (IMO) and great colors. If you choose to sell you should have no problem unloading it. I've always liked this particular set. It seems that customs don't bring in the same cash that stock BCC sets do though. If I was interested (I'm not...right now) I could see myself paying anywhere from $1.25 to $1.50/chip. I hope I'm not extremely high or extremely low with these numbers. Just my 2 1/2¢ :)

I can't imagine that after playing with these chips, you would be happy with any china clays. My advice -- Don't sell these until after you're happy with the replacement.

One thing in your favor is that the inlay design is not highly personal so the pool of potential buyers is larger than it would if the design was for, say, Chanman's Poker Club.

Really hard to gauge the value of these. I agree with links_slayer, to a point -- my first gut reaction was that they are probably 'worth' around $1.50/chip or so, given the relative rarity, decent artwork, and good breakdown.

On the other hand, these chips are light-years nicer than some of the Paulson home set chips that sell for over twice that much. Personally, I'd rather spend $2/chip (or more) on these BCC chips than fork over between $3 and $4 per chip for some ugly advertising mold Paulson chips with run-of-the-mill edge spots and over-glossy inlays.

Smart move is to keep 'em. :)

I mean, they're right. You should keep these awesome chips.

Or you know sell them to me.

Yeah I agree with the above posts. Only downside is no possible add-ons (well, very unlikely). Definitely agree with BG that I'd rather buy these than some el stocko Paulsons at their current prices.

I do honestly believe you should keep them too. I can only imagine how beautiful your table is and it must deserve better than CCs? I'm just making assumptions here though.

I don't know if it's fair to compare them to the Turf Clubs I bought this year. Flame mold solid inlaid... I got them for about 60c each in VG to near mint condition. These are surely worth more though with more than half the chips having edge dots. Oh, and I can't see a single split dot so that probably makes these ultra rare BCCs and worth a million dollars?

At least wait until after the Rumble in the Rockies to sell them. I am sure we can persuade you to keep them!

I'd set the floor at $750 - $120/rack except for the nickles which I'll put at $150. The ceiling...for the right buyer, and depending on the exact breakdown, possibly as high as $1100. A couple of things that are interesting/advantageous about them...

- BCC's in great condition
- Nickles that aren't ugly!
- Inlaid quarters
- Generic-but-effective inlay design

Thank you for all the replies. The ranges of the values is great to know, it makes my decision making easier. I'll mull it over to figure out if I want to keep them or not.

My current tournament set is CC Pharaohs so I have no problem with getting the same for my cash set. Plus it makes it easier to move up to higher limits by using the $25's and maybe even $100's from the tournament set. My only gripe is that I may want to replace my tournament set because I lent them to a friend a few years ago, who then proceeded to drop them all (accident, briefcase popped open) onto a concrete road. So most of my chips are chipping. I also have a large CPS tourny set I use as well. I have cheap taste when it comes to chips apparently.

Don't get me wrong, I love the chips. They're fantastic and I always get compliments on them. But with the chip market currently somewhat high, and with the Canadian dollar in the tank, I might prefer the $$ over the chips. I know... crazy right?

I too have a cash set and big tourney set of CC Pharaohs and don't mind them. Shame about the chipping you've experienced since that accident. I had a player drop a chip from table height onto the floor at a game and it literally snapped in half and have had a few edge dots fall out so maybe it's just quality issues with the chips. Not sure.

It makes sense to be selling now whilst selling is good for us Aussies and Canadians!

Aren't all Paulson molds technically advertising molds other than the suits mold?
No. The PAULSON CHIPS mold is an in-house design, predominately used for their marketing samples that are distributed to casinos, and it is not offered for casino use. It was also offered for four non-casino home game sets (Pharaoh's Club, National Poker Series, Classics, and Casino de Isthmus). With the exception of oversize mold and specialty chips, no other mold has been used by GPI primarily for advertising Paulson chips.

I think the one of the first batches of pharaohs had flaking issues no? When did you get yours?

My set is comprised of 3 different sets I bought from others.

Yes I've seen that thread before and others mentioning the flaking/chipping. I can't tell if mine are doing so from a manufacturing defect or from the drop. Maybe one day I'll sort out all of my CC chips into a pile of flaked vs intact. They weren't all dropped so there should be plenty that are intact.

Them some gorgeous chips, sir.

Worth more than face value as a set, to be sure!

I'm with the "keep them" chorus.

Yepp. Keep them. I've seen this set before and I've always liked it.

Keep them, they are awesome. In the chip-madness of the current market, I'm certain you'd get $2/chip.

I've decided to part ways with the set. I pulled them all out for a count and realize I have more than I thought, nearly 730. 728 to be exact.

I'm going to source a replacement set first, once that's found I'm going to put these up for auction. This is a long shot, but if there's a chance anyone received these as samples or has a couple of them, it would be great to get them to complete the set. I am missing 1 nickel and 2 quarters for round numbers. I ask because a local chipper gave me a couple he had which was given to him from the original owner. If I hadn't received those from him, I would be missing 2 nickels and 3 quarters. I'm going to search my shop high and low to see if I misplaced any of them since I've moved them around a lot, plus they don't all fit in the case I use to transport them.

Chip count:
$0.05 x 199
$0.25 x 148
$1.00 x 280
$5.00 x 100

Here's the condition of the chips now, pretty much unchanged from the OP and it's all the chips I can find.

There will be a fair amount of action in that auction, colour me interested!
