I am a big fan of this bold mold (the inlay not so smuch).
My 1st evar custom set was made before I knew poker-chip forums existed.
Not a bad 1st try. I saw TRK and thought it expensive (regrets). I did not know about ASM, and Sidepot's art fees were absurd.
So I proposed to Sidepot to use the InPlay art (for free) on the Modern Clay spot lineup; and then had my 1st (semi)custom set.
(Edit 5/11 cleaned up the OP (again))

These were pressed by BCC in this custom configuration. Ok, upon 2nd read it became clear....

I think Sidepot posted modern clay custom shots way back but I have never seen any posted on any chip site.

Biggest complaint (in retrospect) with retail spot lineups at hhe time was the repetion of same color spots (and dull spot repetition all 3d14) (it happened w BCC and Paulsons)
but it was all you could get then

TY but no ;)
I have a boatload of regular modern clays I will sell off at one point if you desire dibs
all good

Attention all members....

This rare BCC whale is not for touching nor feeding.
Let us all give him some space to roam around PCF and post loads of pr0n
Thanks

love the colours but that mold is a sight for sore eyes!

I guess I differ there.
I always liked the bold & textured molds.
Colors and spots are a dime a dozen. The mold is where it all starts IMO.
The later Cigar and Snifter, & Pine Apple never did anything for me.
Heck, even TH&C does nothing for me
Edit: for trivia: I suggested that Paulsons come out with a 'pips' mold just a few months before they actually did.
I was so very happy at the time.
Way better than TH&C and now even more rare!

i agree about textured mold but the jumbled numbers and letters are definitely not my thing. if you love them thats all that matters.

Can any of you BCC experts provide any information on this chip? I don’t see any evidence a label was removed and cannot find any pics of BCCs with these colors. Sold as a blank maybe? Thanks

could be a color sample. They would grab any chip and glue a piece of paper on it with the color name.

that $2 is Saturrn Yellow I think, one of my favs
I love the marbled look of some of the BCC colors
Tough to photograph the saturn & also because these are not oiled for future stamping
--thinking this one is gold & the marbled look shows up better here)

clam / shell mold
I forget the official name
color : white (?)
interesting find
BCC was very strict on blanks until just before the end(y) ;)
I have never seen a blank clam (@WedgeRock out of context post soon to follow?).
