Apparently the Bellgio is going to stop spreading 10-20 limit and go with a 9-18 game using $3 chips.

Anyone know what the $3 Bellgio chip looks like?

Could be just that traffic has been down for the $10/20 game and they're trying to change things up to try to get some interest going. Or maybe they're trying to get the players from the old $9/18 Imperial Palace game.

That makes sense. I figured they weren't trying to attract players who couldn't afford to play $10/20.

It's usually to promote action. Smaller denoms = more chips on the felt = pot looks bigger = more action

I picked up a few drop chips on my last trip. Bellagio sold it to me no problem, Mirage had to get floor approval first.
