I was looking at the CDI '98 $500 chips and thinking about how insanely gorgeous I think they are. I wanted to throw out the obligatory "What is your favorite $500 chip?" thread.
Wow those harbor lights look amazing
The PNY Primary $500 Chip! The best IMO. I don't even own them yet, but I know they are the best. lol. Look at those! Mint Green, Bright Pink, and a yummy purple. These really are a piece of history. Ive got a barrel of them on the way!. Cant wait.
PS: Thank you for who ever pic this is Got it from Google Images
Wait...you did what?
Lol of course you’re going to say PNYs. You’re nuts about em! Do you have any posts that DON’T reference PNY chips in any way?
I am nuts about them!! I just love the story behind them, and I love NY City. Chicago sports fan all day, but something about that city man. Hmmmmmmm I think I have commented on a few other posts saying PNY chips are better.... Hahah JK. I do like PCA Chips a lot, ironic thats the same casino basically. I don't think ill ever expand to another high end set, but I do like the way Native Lights look!
Meh, overdone purple with pink/green color scheme with tacky tourist photos on a slick oversize inlay that hides any resemblence to a nice clay spotted chip. And wildly overpriced, with NO history. Not even in my top 20.

Can’t fault you man. PNYs are beautiful chips, PCAs too of course but PNYs are something special.

Really? Just one? I thought they were like Lay's potato chips. :I only own a single $500 chip. Weird. I don’t know if i think it’s the best, but I like it a lot.

Trust me, they already know....You hear that guys!? BGinGa Does not like PNY chips! Fallow his lead everyone, and send me your PNY chips.
Restraint! I’ve tried to keep my collection to chips I’ll actually play. I had a bunch of Cleveland Horseshoe primary $500’s (and that chip deserves a nomination just for its unique spot pattern) when I was using them as tournament chips. But people thought they were worth more money than I did, so I sent them away.Really? Just one? I thought they were like Lay's potato chips. :
I literally have dozens..... of racks.

All of the PNY chips have tacky tourist photos, regardless of the subject matter or how (or how often) one personally feels about it.I would have to disagree with the "tacky tourist photo" comment. That is a great portrait of the once Great Twin Towers. To many of us the events of 9/11 are in our thoughts daily.
Love and always will both versions of the PNY $500s.

I'd much rather see the magnificent twin towers remembered in a classier way than on a slippery bloated inlay RHC chip from a failed casino effort. YMMV.
