I’ve been hosting a home game for a long time. In the last couple years, I’ve been getting a lot of dented cards. They’re like fingernail dents, and I’m pretty sure it’s one person doing it because they’re consistently in the same place, but I can’t for the life of me figure out who it is. I’ve obsessed over it way too much, spending way too long watching people shuffle, look at their hole cards, etc. I’ve even contemplated mounting my 360 camera over the table for a game or two and then watching footage back to see if I can find the culprit. I’ve brought it up to the group many, many times, but it keeps on happening. It’s super frustrating. It’s random cards and many cards so I’ve ruled out a card marking issue. I’ve always used copaqs, so looking for recommendations if there’s another card that holds up to fingernail dents better.

I've noticed them with Kems and Copags and it's annoying AF I agree. I have gotten Modianos and good so far but haven't been using too long

Could be fingernails, but It could also be chip marks. People put a chip on their hole cards to protect them, then when they peek at their cards again, they hold down the chip, bend the cards up to peek, damage. I have gone through so many setups like that, I stopped buying expensive cards.
I don't know if a stiffer card resists that damage. To be fair, I prefer thinner flexier cards. But Trefls are pretty stiff and they got damaged the same way.

There's probably a 50% chance of someone peeling their cards up while using a card capper and you are seeing the crease caused by the edge of the capper.

It could also be nail marks, and this happens most often when someone peels their cards parallel to the long axis of the cards when compared to the short axis.

These are great, a little stiff when shuffling, but still better than Faded Spade.

Worst are Gemaco and Fournier
KEM, Dal Negro and Modiano are doing better, I belive due to softer stock
In one of Warsaw clubs we had a fellow who used to mark cards that way, aces and duces if I remember, They were playing HiLo PLO.
In your position I would try to catch a culprit instead of changing cards

I really wish I could, I’ve spent too much time watching player instead of just playing poker trying to catch the culprit. It does make me wonder how many tells I’m missing if I can’t even catch someone denting the shit out of my cards.
I would tell your players what's happening and see if it stops.
I bring it up literally every time I bring out a new setup, probably every other month or so (we play weekly).
