Reading through this forum and trying to find the best option for my new group buy chips coming in December. I ordered 1,050 chips (I know, weird amount) and was hoping that the Apache 3800 could handle this (and cards and dealer buttons if possible). Will this be too tight? I could put the 50 extra chips and cards and buttons in a small grocery bag if needed, but would like a case mostly for storage, but also the occasional trip to a friend's house. The 4800 seems too big to me.

I agree that 4800 is overkill, heres mine with 1000 43mm and 200 50mm. I've got a 3800 at home, I fit 8 racks of 43mm very comfortably, I will check to see the 1000 chip fit. They're heavy but I like the sturdy handle and I dont have to worry about transporting, love having everything in one place.

I have the 4800 for 1,500 chips and it’s just too damn heavy.
I also have the Versa 1,000 and 600 birdcage cases and they’re amazing. With Justin racks, they’re also very easy to pull the bottom racks out of the case.

I think that seals it for me. Versa it is. Thanks!
