Hey guys and happy new year!
So long story short, I host tournaments and we've been having a Best Hand Bonus for a while. Basically the player who's won with the best hand (Full house and such) within the first 5 levels, takes a fixed amount from the Prize Pool (in this case, $40). It turns out the Add-on is exactly $40 (what a coincidence eh?).
But I wanted to take this a little further and instead of awarding the player with actual cash ($40), I'd like to award them the add-on. This would be a "forced" purchase as the player cannot simply take the 40 bucks and leave if they've busted out or not add-on. This would benefit the prize pool and the winners of course.
My question is, would this be ethical? Players could see this as a downgrade I guess.
let me know your thoughts on this
