Got a video playlist few years back from a friend, forgot about it until a few days ago all poker players should check it out, i found the tells chapters especially interesting, things covered here I would never think on my own.
I used it as a blueprint for research, every few minute clip inspired a couple searches , some even conversations.
Rare few guides mention tournament/cash game strategies, even rarer are the ones that mention bankroll/chiproll strategies.

good stuff

The best poker strategy I ever found was win all the money. Completely crazy because I had been succeeding at the opposite for so long. :D

The best thing about all of this is that it inspired searches/conversations. I downloaded all of that stuff years ago and studied it. The thing about poker is that the game evolves every 6 months to a year. So much of these things are not necessarily great these days. The tells things are always very intriguing and I have studied them a lot as well. I have Phil Helmuth's book "Read 'Em and Reap" with Joe Navaro and have read it a few times. There is certainly info to be gained from tells but I promise you they are very hard to detect for the most part. You will see some obvious ones like trembling fingers while betting and people leaning forward or backward most notably. But if you really really want to learn poker strategy, I recommend watching twitch poker streamers or youtubers. People like Jason Somerville, Tonka, Doug Polk, Nano Noko, and more are great players and break down their thought processes so you can learn a great deal from them. Jason Somerville's Run It Up youtube series helped me so much that I can't fathom how much I would have paid in lessons in the casino to learn what I have from him breaking down his thought process. Most of these guys are also enjoyable to watch as well. I suggest ditching the WSOP academy from 2009 and joining the twitch/youtube community to learn. It's free and you will see how people are playing in 2017 which is very important and beneficial. Best of luck to you!

Everyone knows the secret to poker is: getting there.

There are a couple basic implementations to this strategy.

1. Check, call, get there.
2. Bet from behind, get there.

Either one of these will work. Chose strategy 1 against super lags and maniacs, and strategy 2 against nits.

Simple. Works for all forms of poker.
