Best T20K 30 person set 1,000 chips? (1 Viewer)

I'd probably go with:

T25 (240)
T100 (240)
T500 (160)
T1000 (240)
T5000 (100)
T25000 (20)

Gives you starting stacks of 8/8/4/7/2.

Extra chips for colors up, and enough total bank that if you wanted to run a rebuy tournament you'd have enough for everyone to have at least one rebuy.

240x T25
240x T100
200x T500
200x T1000
120x T5000
20x T25000

OK so that's 1020 chips. But the T25ks can just be extra on top. :)

8/8/6/6/2 starting stacks. The remaining 20x T500 and 20x T1000 are exactly enough to color up all the T25s and T100s. The remaining 60x T5000s are exactly enough to color up all the T500s and T1000s, if desired. And the barrel of T25k allow enough flexibility in there for rebuys if you want (no more than half the field will rebuy in any given tournament) and to have less chips on the table and stacks easier to manage when it gets down to 2-3 handed and the action is hot and heavy.

I question the 25k. Probably because the cardroom tournaments (much larger than this) that I play in, don't use them. When you get down to the final couple of tables, and everything's colored up to 5K, it just seems like there are so few chips on the table. Why remove more?
I'm an anti25er!

2 reasons:

-When you're down to 2-3 handed and playing most every hand, the easier it is to identify exactly how much you and your opponents have at any given moment, the better.

-In most any tourney set, the T25k is a really awesome chip. :D

Thanks for the help Bentax, Ben, and upNdown. What would you guys recommend if I went to 1200 total chips without 25K?

Here is what I went with for my 3 table WSOP cleveland set.

240x T25
240x T100
140x T500
240x T1000
120x T5000
20x T25000

Why the T25K? Why not?

I don't have any experience running multiple tables. I'm just tossing an opinion out there - the experts can give you advice.

Keep the 25K. As stated, it has a use towards the end of the tourney when stacks are large, and it is also cool. It also adds extra chip value if you have an insane rebuy event or start with deep stacks.

If 1200 chips, why not go with this breakdown, which also has the added benefit of supporting 40 player T10,000 with 8/8/4/7 stacks and plenty of rebuys:

320 x t25
320 x t100
160 x t500
300 x t1000
80 x t5000
20 x t25,000
