This auction is to benefit the niece and nephew of our friend David aka @AfterTheFact. About 7 months ago Zac and Leah were injured in a dog attack and lost their grandmother. Many of us made a donation to the Go Fund Me page and I know it was very much appreciated. These kids, whom I've never met and their tragic story has stayed with me long after the thread quieted down. I know their goal has not been reached yet. By way of this auction I wish to introduce new members to their story as well as remind the rest of us what these kids are going through. Sometimes scars are on the inside.

Not a requirement for this auction but if you can, please make a $5 donation to the Go Fund Me page when you make your first bid. If anyone else wishes to make a small donation it would be greatly appreciated as well. Again, not required for the auction just a nice gesture.
  1. STARTING BID: [ $ 1.00 ]
  2. Bids must be placed using numbers (no images), in whole dollars, and in minimum increments of [ $ 1.00 ]
  3. NO RESERVE. The Starting Bid of this auction will be treated as the Reserve Price.
  4. All bids are to be placed openly in this thread. No bids via PM/Conversation.
  5. No bid edits or bid retractions permitted. (note: ALL edits are logged instantly)
  6. Auction will use the '5 minutes after last closing bid rule'. Highest bid at [ 9:00 P.M., ET, Sunday, 7/28/19 ] will win unless there is a bid within 5 minutes of closing time - then the closing time will be within 5 minutes after the latest bid was posted. A bid at the close time is NOT a valid bid. Since seconds are not displayed on post timestamps, these examples will be used as a reference.
  7. I reserve the right to: 1) cancel the auction if no bids have been made; 2) edit the listing to correct errors or clarify rules as needed; 3) Add bonus items if the bidding gets silly
  8. PCF (its Owner, Admins, and Moderators) are in no way responsible for any actions in this auction.
  9. Shipping Terms: [ I got this ]
  10. Payment Terms: [ Donation to the Go Fund Me Page]

These chips are brand new, stored for 10 months and only on the felt for pictures. The dealer buttons are also brand new and hot off the presses (or hot off of whatever they make them on).

Thank you Paul, that is awesome for you to do this!
The kids came to our house the weekend before last for The continued appointments at the Shriners Hospital (They have been wonderful). Still waiting on the prosthetic leg and sadly more surgery may be necessary because the bone is continuing to grow in the lower portion of her leg and may cause problems. Her father told me the Shriners are also working on getting her a custom wheelchair that will have several great features. My wife’s mother’s birthday is coming up, the first since her tragic death, and it will be hard for all. Thank you all for the continued thoughts and prayers for her family.

Heart wrenching story, almost left me in tears. I'm a softy when it comes to stuff like this. I'll be leaving a donation and seeing if I can scrounge something up worth auctioning on behalf of this family. My best wishes to the parents and their children.

Jesus, what a horrible story. Those dog owners should give up all their pets and work 3 jobs each to help these kids. No homeowner's insurance? So sad.

I can be as much a hardass as anyone, but stories like this one just get me right in the feels. I keep praying for continued healing, inside and out, for the kids and this family

I'll donate 2 Big top Hi/Lo buttons to the winner of this auction. I dont have them in my possession yet and dont have any pics, but I know they exist and are in MA. Consider it a sight unseen donation

Thanks Scott! That's very much appreciated!

David: Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear about the additional surgery. I wish we could just fast forward time for her to get her to the new normal. My heart breaks for her.

As stated above in item 7: I reserve the right to add bonus items if the bidding gets silly. Guess what? It got silly 25 minutes into it! Well, you were warned.....added to the auction are 10 Bounty Chips!!

Thank you to the bidders and the donors!

@ssanel54 Thank you again for donating the hi/low buttons. I can send them up to Han when you get them in.

Thank you to everyone who donated and made bids, it means a lot to me. Keep an eye out for more exciting auctions for these kids.
