Binion's Horseshoe - current and historical value ranges (1 Viewer)

All of your chipping dollars.
They’re the GOAT tournament set and you can’t convince me otherwise.

If there were real 500s and 5000s in playable quantity
Maybe, if you’re playing lots of tables. But I feel like PCFers tend to significantly overstate the need for high denoms in tournament play. I’d think you could create a structure for one or two tables that would work just fine with three denoms. And aren’t there a lot of 1ks out there now, too? That could help, if necessary.

Thank you!
You are more disciplined than I thought. You exceeded 4 weeks

Hi, I’m trying to get a sense of current and historical values for the T5, T25 and T100. I believe the last public sale was Krish’s set? Would love to get an idea of what a small set would cost today:
- 300 x T5
- 80 x T25
- 20 x T100

Thanks!
Dibs if you find a bigger set and need some help!

I've got a set of 300 T5s, 550 T25s, and 225 T100s (roughly). Based on what I've paid and what I know others have paid, a general ballpark would be:

T5: $2000-$3000/rack
T25: lighter green - $1200/rack, darker green $1300-$1500/rack
T100: $1400-$1600/rack

These are just general estimates. There aren't a whole lot of them out there and the COVID/Lockdown buying spree and the cool down since has made prices harder than ever to try and gauge.

If I recall, when they first popped up on eBay just before COVID hit they were selling in the $500-$800 per rack range.

I think for these prices is has to be the one of a kind Binyon’s! Those are the rarest of them all

I know for years the white T1 was the grail chip of the set. I bought a T5,000 in the mid 2000s on eBay for around $50, and a T100 for around $25.
During covid, I sold off both. The T5,000 went for $185 and the 100 sold for $35:

Then something interesting happened. About a week later, there was buzz that the Binion’s “vault” opened and more chips suddenly hit the market, and the 100 dipped as low as $15 each.
I think the current price has bounced back to $20-$25 each for singles, and definitely less per-chip when purchased in bulk.

I remeber when the Binions vault thing was going on. Pretty crazy that the dude just had so many. I think he prolly had an in. But it’s been years and i don’t really remember if anyone knew what happened. Was crazy all the sets people were able to get though. The true grail set imo

Due to the difficulty in finding the higher denoms I just resorted to getting relabel candidates.

If anyone has a rack or two of Empress Joliet $500s…I’m your man. I’m trying to avoid using NAGB chips.

I know where one rack of sec $500 is but I feel like people who have them in that quantity are going to be very reluctant to let them go.

$600-700 on eBay was the right range. Also found a bunch of T500 sold over the years by the same seller so they're out there. Just have to figure out who's willing to sell one for a sample set...

How can I attempt to value my casino issued collections? Is there a link? They are all $1 chips from the major poker room casinos. Aria, Wynn, Caesars, Cosmo, etc. I typically have 200 chips each casino from when I used to play the poker rooms. Thanks!

Chances are they’re worth $1 each unless they’re in sharp condition, are Bellagio 98s, or are from a casino that has since closed.

Edit: lol I had no idea I was in this thread! :ROFLMAO:

Thanks — good to know. The chips are in very good shape and are clay Top
Hat & Cane / Paulson as far as I can tell. I got them in 2006-2010 era best I can remember. Now they are plastic and probably have ID chips
in them or something.
