I do have it. Have a read the first couple of chapters. I got distracted (or the book failed to grab my attention) and have not looked at for a few months.
It's starts with an intro about the authors experience with poker and bankruptcy and challenging the norms which was way more conceptual then applicable. I believe there was a Malcolm Gladwell concept in there somewhere about 10,000 hrs to reach mastery....
I was struck by a discussion on micro raising from the button or the SB. Mostly because he made some statements about the way people play online now that clearly effect large poker events (WSOP). I stopped playing on-line probably 3-4 years ago. I realized that I'm not in the world that I know that it is correct to call the 2nd blind all in, but not the 4th....(I'm making the example up, obviously) The point was something about present poker fashion, relatively rare events, and marginal (disputable) changes in EV.
I just started to feel that I, in my poker microcosm, couldn't apply these lessons easily.
If I ever win a WSOP event it will be because I hit the Sh*t out of the flops...
