So I got a couple sample set in fronm another member. I have to same these things are slick as he'll. I almost have trouble holding onto them. Is that fairly normal or does the sickness wear off fairly quickly. Chips tricks with these, at least for me, is nearly non-existent. Gimme some thoughts because I started to go this route for some customs, but if this is normal and stays this way I'm going to have to go another route.

I can't speak to how they hold up over time, but I will say I'm not a fan of the ceramics samples I have gotten from there. My first samples were the brighter valentinos, I was ready to pull the trigger on a semi-custom order until I handled them.

Even though they are ostensibly the same material as other ceramics, they somehow look and feel cheaper at least to me. My understanding is that they are some of the better quality custom ceramics (maybe outside of the group buys here), but I can see how they just aren't for everyone.

My customs are 43 mm and the extra size definitely helps as far as not sliding around as much. I had a set DDLM 39mm chips and felt they were decent as far as being slippery, but not as good as the 43mm chips.

Interesting that you found them slippery. I have a large set of DDLMs and I never found them the least bit slippery. They do have glossy edges that are fairly unique among ceramics, but I love the texture on the faces. They definitely hold up to wear better than the cards mold chips.

I found new ceramics to be rather slippery. I wouldn't call it slick as hell but definitely more slippery than chips you find in a casino. Over time it gets less slippery, need to get that pizza grease and chicken wing oil worked into the set.

I guess it also depends on what you’re comparing the ceramics to. I’ve got plenty of RHC Paulsons that are way slipperier than BRPro ceramics.
And Paulsons with the giant inlay? Like wet ice. :ROFLMAO:

And be careful to not compare them to Paulsons in the casino environment, those chips actually stick together.

Let's be honest though. I think that's due to h-juice along with other filth. I wouldn't think that would be the case when new or if clean

I have a set of custom chipco ceramics and custom BR Pro ceramics... Both stack very well, BR Pro ceramics are not slippery at all in my experience. No trouble sliding a barrel up to the betting line and they feel very sturdy in stacks.

Right, I was just referring to the previous comment comparing to chips “in a casino”.
But I’ll also stand by the comment about certain clays when clean can be very slippery as well.

It could be that ceramics may not be for you. I know there’s a number of different Tina chips that are even slicker than BRPro. It might be best to look at THC or CPC clays instead.
