Yesterday, my order from BrPro Poker arrived. I now have my own ceramic tournament set. My ideas and inspirations for it are as follows:
https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/caribic-themed-ceramic-chipco-style-design.106021/

In summary, I wanted a design that resembles the Chipco style with a Caribbean flair.

I'm not a designer and have no experience with graphic tools, but I was able to create a cohesive design and colors for myself using Inkscape.

I had initially ruled out Tina because the reviews regarding spinners discouraged me, and I wasn't confident about communication and prototype creation. In the end, I chose BrPro. Sun Fly would have been probably a good choice as well.

I know I wanted 43mm chips again after I sold my Royals CC. But Paulson 43mm are way too pricey and that was the opportunity to buy 43mm for a dollar a chip.

I took the following pictures with my phone camera right after opening the package.

Communication with BrPro was really good. Kristil @BR Pro Poker addresses all questions and requests and even helps with decision-making when asked. I received a series of prototypes before the final order. Overall, excellent customer service!

All the chips are identical in their dimensions and flat. I couldn't find any spinners. The chips stack and shuffle excellently. Currently, the chips are not slippery at all, but we'll see if that changes over time. What I really like is that the chip stacks of 40 chips or higher next to each other have the same height. It always bothered me when this wasn't the case.

All chips are 43mm except for the T2500 chips, which are 47mm.

What I don't particularly like visually about ceramic chips in general are the edges. The chips have a very nice matte look on their face side, which unfortunately is missing on the edge. That was not a surprise to me but I think it's worth to mention.

I also want to mention the 43mm racks which perfectly fit a barrel. Tight but not too tight. Racks look very durable too.

I don't know when I can bring these into play. I am actually not a huge fan of hosting tournaments. But I wanted an other set so bad. It's a sickness :wtf:

Thanks for reading.

Great looking set! I’ve never heard of any spinners on BRPro chips, and their quality is great. They should hold up as long as you have them.
Yes, the edges are glossy…some folks love that, others don’t.
Enjoy the new chips!

The 2.5k chip looks fantastic. I will say with BRPro chips the edges will see wear over time, so even if they had a matte finish, the edges start to shine as the chips are shuffled over time.

@BR Pro Poker and Kristil are top notch!!

Solid win on the chips they look great and I think you nailed the theme you wanted!

Beautiful chips, and a very interesting idea to go with the T2500 in place of a 1K. At first I wondered "why so many T500s" but now I see why. Since it's the highest denom, I suspect it will play just fine. Do report back here after you put these in play.

The white ring helps with the non aligned edges, but it still bothers me that BRPP charges extra for that. I don't think I could deal with it personally.

Good looking set! Those seating chips are awesome!
I had no prototype on these. Completely surprised when I opened the box. Love how these turned out.

I realy think this is the best breakdown for a 2 table tourney regarding efficiency and simplicity.
500 chips 160/160/160/20 (T25/T100/T500/T2,5k)
With a T5k starting stack with 8/8/8 (T25/T100/T500) chips you can play with up to 20 Players. The T2500 come into play in the very late stage of the tourney. Maybe not until the beginning of heads up play.

Blind schedule is
25/50 (alternative 25/25)
25/50
50/100 (alternative 25/75)
50/100
75/150
75/150 + BBA
100/200 + BBA
150/300 + BBA
200/400 + BBA
300/600 + BBA
400/800 ...
600/1200 ...
800/1600 ...
1000/2000 ...
1500/3000 + BBA
2000/4000 + BBA

Beautiful chips! Congratulations. They arrived on my birthday, hope you run good!

Great looking chips. I like that you went with a $2500 and not a $1000 like most people do. I've never understood having a $500 and $1000 in the same set.
But won't the T2500 chip be useless once T500s are colored up? The blinds will be in increments of 1000's after that.

Why would he color up the T500s? I don't see where he says he plans to do that. He may not even bother coloring up the T100s as they are still in use pretty late in that structure.

Nice set! I love BR Poker. Recently bought a Nevada Jack set.

Good point. There are many ways to structure a tournament and I was only considering the tournaments I’ve been playing in. The more I think about it, 2500 could still be used for 5k, 10k, blinds and so on.

Slightly different structure. 5,000, 7,500, 10,000. Personally I use 2k chips instead of 1k or 2.5k. but all will work. Using 500 and 1,000 always bugged me, so my tournament set uses 2,000 instead, it's a bit less clunky than 2,500 and I prefer it over 1,000.

Yeah, I think it was clearly OP's intent to do something a little different and have all the chip denoms increase 4-5x. Almost all standard T-sets have 1K chips making the T500 a little awkward. This was a fun way to have a unique set.

Replacing the T1000 and T5000 chips with T2000/T2500 and T10000 chips is an efficient way to build out the top end of a tournament set.

More T500 chips are needed, but they will remain in play longer. The T2000 chip seems to work better than T2500 for bigger set / stack / field sizes, fitting in better with most existing blind structures *. The T10000 chips eliminate the need for both T5000 and rarely-used T25000 chips.

Typical later blind levels:
...
1000/2000
1500/3000
2000/4000
3000/6000
color-up T500 chips using T10000s
4000/8000
6000/12000
8000/16000
10000/20000

Events with 400k total chips in play (10 players with 40k stacks, 20 players x 20k stacks, or 40 players with 10k stacks) typically won't reach the 10k/20k blind level before ending, especially when antes are used.

Rigth, a T2000 should be better if you have more Chips in play.

We played yesterday the Main Event @ the Cologne Card Carnival PCF Meetup. Thanks @BGinGA for helping out with the structure. It played very smooth and was real fun. We had a starting stack of T20k with something like 8/8/4/7/2 (25/100/500/1k/5k).
One thing but maybe its just me. I have a hard time to figure out the stack size of my opponents when there are too many denominations in play.
My personal conclusion is that in Poker (doesn't matter if cash or tourneys) less denominations is better. Which is the main reason for for having only T25, 100, 500 in my starting stacks. Just my opinion.

Exactly.
My idea is yo bring in the 2,5k chips before level 1k/2k. Colouring up all T100 and reduce the amout of T500 on the table.

Actually I am referring to that very little island Dominica not the Dominican Republic.

It sits right between Guadeloupe und Martinique.

I visited Dominca back than in 2016 in low season. One of the most memorable places for me were the Trafalgar Falls. Two waterfalls with natural pools you can swim in. We stayed half the day there with not more than a handful other tourists. It was like heaven on earth.
