1 for cash 1 for tourney. Here's what I'm tossing around after receiving some samples. Quantities on the Royal 43mm and Majestic can be bumped up depending on combination chosen of course to fit budget. Still new to this world though so I'm open to ideas.

2 table deepish stack tourney with rebuys is what happens most of the time. Cash games are much smaller - 6 handed usually but sometimes a full table and don't happen as regularly.

Tourney:
- 700 Majestic CC ($235)
- 2100+ Faux clays ($250)
- 700 Royal 43 mm ($343)

Cash:
- 700 Royal 43 mm ($343)
- 500 Horseshoe Cincinnati ($450) (probably ultimately end up looking for fracs to relabel to add to this set)

Just a thought, but since the majestics and royals have the same mold you could use both for cash and tourney, where the majestics are the low and mid denoms and the royals are the high denoms.

Example:
The cash set uses majestics from 0.25 to $5 and royals for $25 (and perhaps $100?).
The tourney set uses majestics for T25 to T1000 and royals for T5000 (and perhaps T25000 for deepstack tourneys?).

You can relable the royals with the majestic design (or vice versa, but that is more expensive due to more chips being relabeled).

I have some samples of the Sunfly 43mm and Scroll ceramics here. They feel decent and the scrolls reminded me of a casino I frequent most, but idk I just don't enjoy the feel of the ceramics quite as much from what I've got the chance to play with so far.

You could get a nice Roadhouse cash set for less than the Cincy set! I believe the Roadhouse Tourney chips are supposed to be offered eventually so you could wait and try to have a sweet matching set.

I'm guessing those will be listed out of his price range... (EDIT: I meant the tourney chips that haven't been listed yet)

If it was me I would want to do the Royal 43mm Tourney and Horseshoe Cincinnati Cash. Unfortunately that is literally your most expensive choice....

I was eyeballing those, although I think I like the Cincy look more. Plus I thought the Roadhouse cash sets for sale were more than $450? Somewhere around 650 to 700?

I'd go HS cash and Royals tourney.

This is my top choice as well. To be honest, only real reason the Majestics are in there is because of price and therefore can add to the HS cash set as needed with extra budget. Plus I actually do like them a lot. Faux are in there because - well I still don't know exactly why, but I like the solids and the large quantity to have the ability to have a very large game - even though its rare lol.

I just sold a Roadhouse Cash set for $375, it was broken down as 100 snappers (for frac relabel), 200 1s, and 200 5s. Chips were ultrasonically cleaned and oiled. They're probably the best value set out currently. As for the Roadhouse Tourney chips, not sure what those will be listed at, you'd have around $350 to play with for a Tourney set in which case I'd probably get some 43mm Royals.

That cash set would've been perfect. If I found something similar I'd jump on it for sure.

That's definitely the range they sell for. 350-400 being the max for a 500 chip set. I sold mine on the higher end since the snappers were in great shape with no color variation and they were cleaned and hand oiled. Was a great set, wish I kept it lol. Since your tourney's run deep with two tables, china clays will probably be the best budget option since you need around 700 chips.

I'd actually prefer to use something like CC anyways for tourneys. I'll look around for Roadhouse sets. I think thechiproom still has them. Anywhere else?

Chiproom only has $25's left for Roadhouse chips. I'd say to place a wanted add for a cash set and you should be able to shake some loose. @ReallyGoodUsername may also have some excess 1s and 5s for sale.

If you try to squeeze 2 mediocre sets out of a decent budget you aren’t going to be very happy with either in the long run and will spend more money to replace them down the road.

If tournaments are more of what your group plays get a nice set of them. SunFly 43mm are a great option. For 2 tables with rebuys you should be getting 800 chips minimum to cover larger starting stacks/ rebuys/ etc.

Work on getting a nice cash set later on. If you don’t have anything now, go really cheap, like some of the 10c chip slugged plastics until you can afford to replace them.

You must be a wizard. Literally just basically came to this conclusion in a PM with @Zmasterben. The Royal 43mm are somewhat of an in between option that eat up my budget. I think I'd rather have the Majestics or faux clay tourney and a solid playable Paulson cash set vs a Royals tourney and Paulson cash set that is lacking and still needs a fair amount of work

I like the way you think!!! For a couple years I hosted a weekly $20 tournament with dice chips but had 1500 Paulson Pharaoh’s for my cash set. The tournament was just get people over, my heart was always about the cash game.

Exactly how I am lol. Trying to foster a good cash game over here
