Hey guys. As the title suggests I’m looking for a recommendation for a home poker set. About 500 chips. Breakdown would be 20x.25, 20x1, 5x5 for a total of $50 dollar buy in per person, 10 people max. Blinds would be .25/.50. I’d prefer to have printed denominations and I’m really interested in having bright colors. The closer I can keep the chips (case not included) to $100 the better. Thank you!

Welcome! You came to the right place. Don't buy anything today, take your time, look around here and find chips that you like. Yes, love having the denominations on the chips too.

I actually give out the same amount for my $50 buyin, but if you're looking to go cheap you don't need 20 quarters per person. If you're hardstuck on $100 budget you're looking at dice chips from Target; if you're okay saving up a while and doubling that there are some good options on here that will fit your bill.

I have a friend that is looking for a set and originally told me 'no budget'. I started sending him links to clay chips that are $3+ each. He still hasn't given me a budget, but I'm learning that $1 / chip might even be too much. You should get samples. Figure out how long you want them to last and how often you play. Do you want security? If so, retail chips do not have any security since people could just order them online.

Custom or semi custom China ceramics could be an option, around 55 cents+ per chip + shipping.

BR Pro is a better option for custom, but more expensive than the China chips.

Checkout thechiproom black Friday sale. Real clay casino chips for 30 cents, though worn pretty badly. Also look at the solids for 50 cents, or Bud Jones Roulette. The Roulette can be re-labled, but have to put some work in.

Thank you very much. I’m currently looking to get a poker group together so this is meant as an intro set, but I absolutely despise playing with the target slug chips lol. I’ll look into all these though
