So last year around this time we raised close to $1,300 for Camp Kesem which was amazing! For those that aren't familiar with Camp Kesem, "Camp Kesem believes that every child affected by their parents cancer deserves the chance to fully experience their childhood and be their best selves". One of the ways they do this is by sending these kids to camp. For more information check out their website https://www.kesem.org/ .
So fuck cancer and let's help out some kids going through a rough time. Plus camp/camping is fucking awesome so why not right?
This year will be a bit different as the kids are now attending camp in person instead of virtually. Therefore the cost is much higher. My goal for the next year is to raise enough money to send five kids to camp. The cost to send a kid to camp is $500.
Seeing how this year is a bit different the donations will be set up as follows....
Minimum donation to receive a chip is $25.
$25 will get you a Willie's Treasure Trove $5 chip.
For those who already have a Willie's five I have a few Miles' Club hot stamped ones and fives available in its place.
I also have set aside two partial Miles' Club cash set samples that will go to the top two donations. They include .25/$1/$5/$25/$100. So basically a full sample set excluding the nickel.
If you would like to participate please post with an an "In" or a "Fuck Cancer". Posting your donation amount is optional. Please follow it up with a PM including your screen name in the title, your donation amount in the body along with your address and I will send you payment information. I prefer PayPal and plan on making one lump donation to the Las Vegas chapter in a few weeks just like I did last year. If that makes or breaks a donation I can also accept Venmo, Gpay or a screenshot of a direct donation to Camp Kesem.
I am not a fast shipper and singles will go out in a regular envelope in a method that hasn't failed me yet. I will leave this up for a few weeks and will likely ship mid January.
