Does anyone know if Bud Jones still makes the majority of casino chips for Canada?
I just picked up a set of chips from an obsolete local casino, expecting them to be BJ, but they are not, they are much nicer. They are a similar, but different design to the originals and don’t have that BJ slick stickiness to them. Are they still from BJ, just a different design/style, or are they a totally different manufacturer? I’ve had a hunt on google, but can’t seem to find anything.
The top $1 and bottom $5 are the original BJ, the lower $1 and upper $5 are these new chips I’m trying to identify.
It seems this style/manufacturer of chips is used in all the local casinos in town.
Thanks for any input.

From cross referencing other local chips it seems the style is ‘4 XSX yellow’ for the $5 chips. I assume the $1 have a totally different style as they have the light blue in between the white edges.
I can’t seem to find anything when searching XSX casino chips or 4 XSX casino chips.

See how the $1 in the plastic ring is different on the two Blue chips?

I'd guess one is Bud Jones, the other is probably Matsui. Possibly Abbiati.

This thread dug into it a bit when identifying similar chips:

My understanding is the different manufacturers of casino-grade plastic chips all use extremely similar equipment and materials, and you have to consult catalogs to find small differences between chips to determine what they are.
