Do my eyes deceive me? How can this be? Is this normal wear and tear?

I don't think so.... What do you think, Did someone SAND these down???

I think they just look fairly well-used and thirsty for a bit of oil.

i doubt theyre sanded down, looks like they saw very heavy use though.

I would say they were used heavily and never cleaned. I have seen the same edges on many Tropicana second editions where the edges are slightly rounded and the face of the edge is a bit shinier and darker than the rest of the chip. In other words....Old, dirty, worn and in need of some TLC

Yeah, just used. If interested, offer $175. Even though I didn't want them, I low-balled and got a counter of $189. I figure the seller will go lower.
