@gopherblue has donated this set and therefore it is up for auction again (for the third time)!!!!
***
Funds will be shipped to me for this raffle and I will send my sample set to the winner of this auction.

100% of this auction will be contributed to charity.

Either the Shriners Hospital for Children and/or the ISCA Red Sneaker Fund in memory of @David O 's wife. I will let him choose how he wants wants to split up the $ and will post proof of payment in this thread when payment is made.

Up for Auction: The sample set pictured below

RULES

1. STARTING BID: $1
2. Bids must be placed in minimum increments of $ 1
3. The Starting Bid of the auction will be treated as the Reserve Price.
4. All bids are to be placed openly in this thread. No bids via PM/Conversation.
5. Auction will use the '5 minutes after last closing bid rule'. Highest bid at April 12, 2018 @ 8 PM CDT will win unless there is a bid within 5 minutes of closing time - then the closing time will be 5 min. after the latest bid was posted.
6. Edited posts will be voided.
7. I reserve the right to: i) cancel the auction if no bids have been made; ii) edit the listing to correct errors or clarify rules as needed.
8. PCF (it's Owner, Admins, and Moderators) are in no way responsible for any actions in this auction.
9. Shipping Terms: Add $7.20 as I will be shipping in a SFRB and want every $$$ to go to the charities
10. Payment Terms: PP F&F or add 3% to the final shipped price

I guess it all depends on how the rule is interpreted... I did have a bid within 5 min of the closing time... so I guess it’s up to @Payback how the rule is determined...?

Auctions have a 5 min grace period because of the word “Within so 8:03 is “within” 8pm... I think I’m correct in the meaning of how the auction ending time is determined, but we can let @Payback make the final call!

Fair enough. Perhaps in a court case you'd have grounds to argue that "within 5 mins" could mean "5 mins either side of the closing time".
But I think most people understand it to mean within 5 mins " prior " to closing time.
Maybe the Auction Rules template could use a slight adjustment.

Congrats to whoever won.

I'm going to give the ruling to @pltrgyst on this one at $49.

Ruling states that: Highest bid at April 12, 2018 @ 8 PM CDT will win which was the case in this instance. The unless only kicks in if a bid comes in at 7:56-7:59.

I'll tell you what: Aplusent, send $57.20 to Bill (payback). I'll send $56.20 to Bill. Bill ships chips to Aplusent.

Everybody happy!

(BTW, meaning of five-minute rule has been discussed extensively before in a thread about a disputed auction, but I don't have the link handy...)

No defense necessary -- and no problems on my end, either. I don't really need these chips, since I've already donated one set.

So, either you can take them, or I'm just going to pay Bill anyway and tell him to run the auction again...

But for this particular charity, I doubt that they're ever going to sell for less than $50. Just sayin... :whistling:
