Recent post by Stocky asked what happened to the site, like something might be missing or different, and after many responses and reflection, I think the answer is: Heart.
Heart is what brings any community together. In this group, it is when you help others find elusive sets they are looking for, it is when you sell something to someone you might not know that well at a reasonable price so that they can experience the difference in paulsons vs. majestics, it is when you just give someone a chip or a sample set just because they asked or because they were part of the community - or because it is a spotted bird.
Well, nothing says Heart like giving, so below is a link to a charity walk that you can give to if you want AND I am listing several lots of chips to sell so that I may use the proceeds to sponsor my wife’s team in a 1k fun walk/run to benefit the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation
"We’re a non-profit organization on a mission to fund research to find a cure for brain tumors. We provide supportive and safe environments for patients, families, and caregivers to share experiences, learn about current therapies, and receive information about various aspects of a brain tumor diagnosis and treatment through monthly support group meetings."

To most, 1 kilometer is what you walk inside the grocery store, but for many folks, it is a marathon. My wife, Vera, is probably the strongest and bravest person I know. Other than putting up with me (which makes her a saint) she is 3 years post pituitary tumor surgery, and getting a little bit better each month.
About 7+ years ago, my then 38-year-old wife started feeling weak and had a massive migraine one day that ended her up in the hospital for days while they ran tests and ruled out common issues. She went on short term disability while she recovered and had more testing. Several months later, she went back to work, but started getting worse, so after a few more months, she went back on disability and continued to get worse. It was hard for me to accept that a person who was doing 10K runs 12 months ago needed a walker to get to the mailbox. It was a very difficult time for us. We went to specialist after specialist, had multiple repetitive tests done, and could not get a diagnosis. Vera had done her own research and made connections of the symptoms to Cushing’s Disease, but test after test seemed to rule it out. One doctor actually told us there was no chance she had Cushing’s, it was too rare.
Well guess what Doc? She did have Cushing’s Disease. After 3+ years of incompetence from the local providers, the fine folks at Mayo Clinic (Jacksonville) performed the tests correctly, and surprise, blood work showed it, and their MRI showed a tumor on the Pituitary, whereas the prior 7+ MRIs the Radiologists did not see it. Further testing showed it was the cause of the excessive cortisol production, and July 2015 they removed part of her pituitary.
Once the excessive cortisol stopped, her muscles stopped breaking down. Imagine you have a leg cramp. Sucks right? Now imagine that cramp is randomly in other muscles like your neck or your arm or your back. Really sucks. Now imagine other muscles, your diaphragm, your intestines, your vocal cords, all cramping, all atrophying, all breaking down and working less with less control every day. That is where she was.
Today, she is going to walk a 1K. She will take breaks and sit, and probably cramp once or three times, but she is going to do it, and I am going to be there with her and Lucky, her service dog. When the tumor was removed, the cortisol production decreased too much, this is called Addison’s Disease. When her cortisol drops too low, she can go into adrenal crisis, she goes into a coma, and her heart stops. So, to prevent that, she takes additional cortisol, and to help her know when she is low, Lucky will alert her. Freaking amazing. (full disclosure, Lucky injured his paw on something sharp, might miss the walk if not healed in time)
So, other than walking with her, I am supporting her by asking this community to use that Big-O-Heart I know we have, and help support her and “Team Lucky Dog”.

Sorry, sale is over, donations are open
BUT THAT’S NOT ALL!!!
I am selling (gasp!) the following lots of chips and donating all the money I receive to support the team.
NONE OF THESE CHIPS ARE BEING REPRESENTED AS MINT.
I harvested them from tables and cages, or got them from others, but none are new. Some I ran in the ultrasonic cleaner, some are “casino gooped”, look at the pictures and use your own judgement. Many are live, 2-3 years old, some are obsolete.
Prices are simple - face value + $1 per chip, shipping is $1 per 4 chips in USA (min $1), actual shipping if overseas and I am not proficient on sending packages outside the USA, so you will need to help a lot. Insurance is extra, and I am not replacing lost chips. So if you want a barrel of chips, it is $45 shipped. Yes, might be more than it is worth, but it is for charity, and you all probably know, I rarely sell anything. Buy yes, but unusual to sell.
Posting the lot(s) you want in this thread are how you will get them. I will PM you my paypal, please pay friends & family so I can donate as much as possible. If they do not sell by Saturday September 15th midnight eastern time, then they go back in my “extra” chip boxes.
