OSB isn't ideal, but if it's thick enough I think it's fine. Looks like 3/4". It just gets heavy compared to thinner plywood. There's a little wrinkly action on the far side cloth, too.
Looks like both sides of the SSC have wrinkles, the close side its just kinda hard to see the slight waves. Still the rail looks decent enough that for 100 bucks I wouldn't hesitate. Building a new base out of plywood is easy enough.

Only problem is that once you make a plywood base, you're most of the way to just building your own new table... Reusing the rail is going to be questionable because it's probably OSB too, and through-screwed to the base. The legs obviously have value, but I'm not sure if the balance is there if you are basically going for materials.
