Hello all - chip collector from the Twin Cities here. I'd like to post to the classifieds, but as I am new I guess I need to jump around and chat a bit. See you around!

Welcome to the site! What chip sets do you own? Pictures are always appreciated!

Hey Chippy - I ran a card company for a while and collected promo chips from Vegas. Most of the promo stuff is gone, but I still have a good set of Crystal Park Casino stuff that I picked up a quite a few years back. I was considering selling them off if the value is decent - I don't really know what they're worth currently.

Welcome! Do you still play poker? If so we've got a pretty good local PCF poker playing group.

I used to play a bunch, but my ten-year-old slimmed down the playing time, then his twin brothers destroyed it! :)

Maybe when the nest is empty, I'll get back into form!

Welcome! Now, you were saying blah blah blah de blah "Crystal Park" and you want to sell them?......

Well, long story short. We re-did our basement and I moved a whole bunch of my old "valuables" around and came across the old set. This site seemed to be the best place to figure out if it's worth selling them or hanging onto them. Also, I like unique promo chips and I regretted selling off most of them.

Welcome!

The chip market right now is as high as ever so if you are interested in selling, I'm sure you would be happy with what you could get. I however am not sure of the exact value of the CPs but there are plenty who will be around shortly to help.

Yeah, that would be great to get a general value. I'm not in sore need of the cash, but I'd rather they not sit in the closet collecting dust for another 5-10 years.

Welcome. I'd be interested in the CP $10's if you have some. Didn't see any though.

No $10s - This is what I've found so far (I believe I have more stored somewhere, mainly a bunch of $1s and maybe a couple $1000s)

$1 - 56
$5 - 396
$25 - 400
$100 - 90
$1000 - 9

I guess I'd prefer to move the whole set at once rather than in bunches. I've been given good advice to scout the classifieds and get some idea on the value.

Welcome,

Shoot me a pm on your exact counts for each denomination.

Thanks Jeff

After watching tv this weekend, I can't help but associate these two things

1) Fresh set of chips available for sale to people who really REALLY want them and

2)

Here's the deal. I want to save you the embarrassment of listing those horrible chips. For your trouble, I'd be willing to donate $50 to take them off your hands.

I know what you are thinking "Oh MegaTon, that's so generous, that's like $35 more than I wanted. Wouldn't I be screwing you over?" In a way, yes you would, but I'm a good guy, and I hate to see a fellow chipper in need. I'm a chip philanthropist you see.

Totally kidding. Welcome to the forum. Good luck with selling those beautiful chips!

I love the term "chip philanthropist". I'll be using that.

I just joined PCF recently and I'm contemplating selling off my set of CPCs. I can't list them in the classifieds as of yet, so I figured I'd get some general ideas about the value of the set so I can decide whether or not to sell.

Here's the denomination breakdown:

$1 - 56
$5 - 396
$25 - 400
$100 - 90
$1000 - 9

I'd prefer just selling as a set, I understand you could break them out. Just looking for a rough idea of the set as a whole.

Thanks!

Close ups of the chips?

I can definitely get some close-ups of the chips, but I'd rather put those in the classifieds once I get the chips over there. Will do at that point.

What part of the cities are you in?

Sorry for the weird added message - started a convo in a different forum and had it moved back here
