Hello,
Fairly new member here, but I have been bitten by the bug.
I accidently bought a set of Tiget Palace chips today to add to my growing collection.
I have Nevada Jacks Dessert Sands as my daily drivers and I am getting in on Justin's group buy for some 43mm Web molds Sands chips.
I will also order a Hustler Casino tribute set if that group buy ever happens.
I play in 2 poker leagues locally and I hold a low stakes cash game at my house nearly every Saturday night.
I would love to meet some local Bay Area folks and possibly play some poker.
I hope some locals will post here.

This is usually where I make some joke about hiding your wallet, but if you're already at "accidentally bought Tiger Palace chips" then you're already a lost cause like so many others here.

Not me though. I'm built different. I can stop any time I want to.

Thanks for the post. I do not think that I know anyone here. I play in the Sunshine poker League in Sunnyvale and the All In Poker League in Fremont so if you huys play there too then we might know each other. I would love to get to know you guys though. I had to cancel my game tomorrow because I did not have enough players. Most of my regulars just could not make it so I would love to expand my circle.

Thanks for the post. Yeah, I'm F'd. I'm late to the party. I messaged Ken to see what's up. He's like I have these and I FOMO and drained my bank account.
 
I seem to have decided to lean into project sets instead of taking a second mortgage to just buy the pretty NAGB sets....

I really liked the Tiger Palace chips and thought there was not a chance to get those so when opportunity knocked I answered, but yeah it was an expensive day for me. I bought the VIP 1 cash set $.25/$.50 from Ken and added a rack of $.25 and I also bought 200 of the primary $1 from MrCatpants. So I have a set of 900 Tiger Palace which is enough for me.

I played in SPL once last year and won it. Made a good friend from that group who became a regular. He has since moved to Chicago. :(

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. No rational person is dropping that kind of coin on poker chips. I have a playable set of 900 chips. I got 700 from Ken in new condition and I got 200 from Mrcatpants that had been felted twice. shoot me a DM with your email address and I will add you to my poker group email for my Saturday game.
