Hi all!

Relatively new here, joined a couple years back when I was Toronto and bought my first set of chips from Just1Better (500chips cash game china clay Majestics). Absolutely loved them.

I've since moved to Switzerland for my studies (so still on quite a tight budget, until I start working next year ) and wasn't able to bring the set with me at the time. Earliest I'll be able to afford to go back to Toronto (and visit family) is going to be next summer, after I start working. So, I've decided I'm going to sell that set (more that another time, brother will help with shipping) and purchase a new one here. Seems to make far more sense than shipping the Majestics across the Atlantic (unless anyone has some input on that).

So, I'm looking for anyone around Europe (preferably Switzerland or France, for reduced shipping cost) that has sets of china clay chips that would be willing to sell! I'm looking for a similar volume, around 500 chips, with denominations of 1/5/25/100 (to be used as microstakes), in the range of 200x/150x/100x/50x of each denomination. Very similar to what I had in Toronto, but one denomination down. I've always liked Royals, Majestics, and Milanos, in the CC range.

Thanks!

LC

Welcome back! Fellow Canuck here, living in Switzerland since 2012.

Not any vendors in Switzerland who sell china clays. There's a couple in Europe, but their prices vs. Apache is quite high and so your best option when factoring in the inevitable import fees is to just order from Apache most likely, or post a wanted ad here on PCF and see if you can track down a used set.

Where in Switzerland are studying?

Another Canadian in Switzerland, what are the odds!

Ah that's unfortunate. I am mostly hoping for used set from someone willing to sell, so that its not quite as expensive as pokershop.de or pokershop.ch (see below).

I'm at EPFL in Lausanne! A PhD might be on the horizon, but I'm figuring working for 6m - 1y to not rush that decision now. I did the same before my Master's.

Pokershop.de sell majestics

Thanks! I found this site, as well as pokershop.ch (which doesn't have as good of a selection, but has the Joker Casino CCs), but until I start a full time job again I can't justify spending too much on chips. I figured I've give a shot on the forum for a used set.

Small world! It's quite a country to study and live in.

I have a pharoes cc set I could sell. In Norway so shipping would be about $50 I guess. Let me know

Apologies for the late reply, didn't have a chance until today.
Hi and welcome.
Would ceramics also be an option?

Overall I prefer CCs, but if price and shipping are reasonable I would consider it! PMed.

Thanks for the link! Will consider this as well.

Glad to see some options coming out of posting here! Wasn't sure if I would find any, I know most here like to run on the pricier side. Would definitely want a decent set of proper casino chips one day, but that will have to wait until the wallet can properly afford it

A bit of pr0n Vice this thread.

Dunes CC: bought them, used them, loved them, sold them, no regrets - would do it all over again!
