Hey guys, me and my core-group of friends play regularly, up to 3x a week, for very micro-stakes, and I'd like to buy us a semi-custom set (Dia De Muertos with different denoms than I'm used to) that can accommodate the types of games we play. We usually play for way less than $20 buy-in with ppl rarely buying back in twice - usually we play $5NL and sometimes smaller just to shoot the shit and catch up. I wanted a chip breakdown that would accommodate the stakes we regularly play (I have a set of Milanos for the bigger games with more experienced players).

Considerations:
For this group it's typically a 5-6 person max at the table, we're all close and hangout outside of poker.
We rarely buy back in more than once, usually the first to bust out will buy in for a short stack, or just be friendly and deal for the rest while we all banter.
It's a limp-heavy player pool (I've been easing them into 3-betting and teaching them a lot, I'm by far the most-experienced I don't run over them and keep it super friendly, typically the money I win I buy stuff for the games I host)
The players like to have a stack of small blinds, and it took some convincing to get them to stop playing with every denom available (all thanks to PCF)

What do you guys think of the breakdown? It's in the photo, but I'll lay it out here, too. Also, what do you think of the denominations? I've never had this breakdown before and I think it'll bring something unique to the table, and it's very functional and flexible as well (for this game)
2c x 100
10c x 100
50c x 175
$2 x 100
$10 x 25

0.05/0.05 or 0.05/0.10 should be good with your stakes.

I think if it's going to be a very limp heavy game, then
150x 0.05
150x 0.25
150x 1
50x 5

Bank 445 which covers more than 20 buyins.
Thanks for the feedback, I think I’ll run it by the guys too bc for some reason everyone’s down to play either for $2 or $5 at any moments notice, and honestly I like the $2 vibes even though it’s not anything I typically play
And I guess, tbh, I do want to have a bit of a unique set just for this close group of mine. It makes it feel more special to me, and we’re all college guys and not everyone is always up for a $5 game

That’s what I did with my DDLM microstakes set. 5c, 25c, $1, $5
I used the yellow DDLM as a semi custom option for the 5c:

That’s awesome, for some reason my mind skipped over little angel dude. I might have to replace the orange one with that one.
How do you like the chips?? Have you played with milanos or majestics before, how do they compare if you have??

I havent handled any of the more recent china clay chips, but I know ceramic chips are quite different. I have Paulson and CPC clays too, but I love the DDLM for the difference in feel and the durability. I originally got a small set for my sons to play with their friends, because I didnt want to worry about them using my clays...but I couldn't resist adding on, so the total is up to 1,600 chips and 50 plaques, cash and tournement. They're great chips.
If you havent tried them, I would hold off on the full order and get some samples first, just so you know what you're getting into.

I appreciate that advice, I probably wouldn’t have ordered any samples if you hadn’t said anything. and that’s a TON of chips! I want a set for every situation

Playing with 100BB it shall be OK.

With 6 players you can cover more than 3.5 buyin per player in NL20. I would reduce 2c from 100 to 75 and bump the $10 from 25 to 50 though.

When I used the little yellow guy, I asked to have him grabbing the denomination.

If you’re not having multiple sets, I would use 1/5/25/100/500 denominations but maybe leave the currency symbol off. You can use them as cents for your small game but also leverage for larger games.

100/200/100/80/20 chips. Lets you do 1c/2c with 5c as your workhorse. 5c/10c is doable with the 100s acting as dollars. Then for higher stakes you can use the 25s as quarters and everything else as dollars.

None of this is perfect but it can be made to work…
