Are the chips used in tournaments ceramic?
What quality chips do you recommend? My budget is 350 USD for 500 pieces

Welcome! Depends on what tournament, lots of different ones. Some use ceramics, others use clay. Mine is ceramic and I'm very happy but its a cheaper material.

I'd advise finding a set on here instead. The product you linked has a bad breakdown, so its less efficient use of the 500, and the chips themselves are low quality. Take your time on here and get some custom ceramics for around that price with the exact breakdown that you need.

You can make a single table tournament (STT) with 400 chips or less, if you are careful with your breakdowns. Saves money!

Chip manufacturer can really vary in the quality of their products.

I would trust BR Pro and SunFly to put out an excellent quality product. The Chinese companies that Tina represents have also provided very many PCF members with good products, too.

I probably wouldn't consider ceramic chips from outside these vendors.
