Chip Set of the Year of 2021: Ceramics, Custom Cards Mold Stump Thread (1 Viewer)

Yep, we're finally doing it.

To be eligible, a set should have been revealed here in 2021. If received in December 2020 and showcased here in January 2021, it's eligible for voting. If revealed here in January 2022 but received in December 2021, it's eligible for next year's voting. You get the idea.

I plan on leaving the stump threads open until Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 8pm. After that, the brackets will be made and voting threads will go up the following day on Thursday. Brackets and matchups will be totally randomized.

This is going to be the stump thread for all ceramics and custom cards molds chip sets of 2021. I ask that for the purpose of the voting, ceramic tributes of existing casino or WSOP sets be ineligible. We can have a separate bracket for tributes, if there is enough of demand and desire, but let's stick with original customs for now. If you're not sure about whether a set falls under the fully custom, relabel, or misc (ceramics, cards mold) category, just ask me in one of the threads or PM.

Nope, you're good. This set is exactly the type of chip that this category is made for. I don't want to see casino tributes here, those have been done to death already. I want to see creativity and original ideas!

You can use that inlay artwork on 100 different sets and I'll never get tired of it.

There are only 3 sets for consideration here. I'm just going to do away with this category and put the sets nominated here in with the rest of the fully custom pool, thereby eliminating the need for a play in matchup over there. Next year we'll have just the custom and relabel subcategories I think, but I'll be asking for feedback from everyone to better run things in the future.

There have been TONS of custom cards mols sets in the past year or so. I think a lot of people (like me) just never saw it. Maybe if we publicize it in some of the cards mold threads we could reopen and extend the deadline a little???

I'm fine with doing a separate cards mold category if everyone is ok with doing it end of the year. I had these threads up for almost three weeks in the main custom chip subforum. Not sure how else I can publicize the stump threads or make them more prominent

Not blaming you at all. I only subscribe to the subforums that I read regularly. I remember seeing this last year for the 2020 chips and I posted myself in a few other threads where I knew cards mold people would see them. Just wish someone else had seen this and shared. Again, nobody's fault. Just unfortunate as I know there were quite a few nice customs last year. I'll be sure to subscribe to this forum now.
