Figured since I'm selling/sold off most chips, there was no time like the present to look back at what I've bought and sold. It feels like I've been a member a lot longer then I have though.
I joined Nov 23, 2018, but I came, bought Jonesey's CPSs, and left. They were *just almost* good enough. Sure enough, more than half a year later, I finally returned. Starting May 2019, I began my poker chip journey, apparently right around the time that Brie, Nav, and a couple others were getting started. Was cool to start with the massive and cheap 8v CC sale! It really seems impossible to believe that I've only been active on here for less than a year, about two months away from my first full year. Anywho, trip down memory lane of the last 10 months....
Of course there's the 3,000 or so 8v CCs. But those were followed by....
CPS Cash - Had 3 sets, 4-600 chips a piece. (they all looked something like this)
CPS Tourney - Hovering around 3,750
Radisson Matsui Cash Set - 1k chips
Cascade Lanes Bud Jones Cash Set - 800 chips
Ohh the Love/Hate relationship with the Tonkawas.
Over the 10 months, I've had my hands on 3 different racks of ones, 3 different racks of 5s, and currently 2ish racks of fracs. Probably shoulda just pulled the trigger on a whole set.
CPC Custom Rounders Cash (300 chips) by Angie on MD-50 Mold
Mardi Gras V2 Cash Set - 800 Chips
This would top my regret list of selling, except for the fact that the buyer digs and enjoys em. So no regrets here then.
This would probably be my "budget grail set". People would probably scoff at my grail set being BTP, and maybe even this as being my secondary cheap grail, but I guess I can see the similarities and my obvious affinity for "bright and shiny".
BCC Hot Stamp tourney set on T Molds - 710 Chips
Starbursts - Never got a full picture, but most at one point was about 16 colors (full racks).
I still have barrels, but had to keep em as the kids would be heart broken to lose "their chips".
Royal Set - I don't even remember what the breakdown was. These never made it out of packaging.
Roadhouse Set - No fam pic, maybe top was around 2k chips, if that?
LCOs - 1300 chip Cash Set.
This was one of my favorite Casino Chips released through a sale here, but sadly, I wasn't around for the sale. This means buying chips after the fact and scrounging, and never having access to the clay $5s or amazing yellow $2s. If I would've scooped one of those up, I probably hold this set forever.
Apparently I still have multiple racks of Ceramic $5s in the US that I forgot about. They're so cheap, no point in selling. Maybe it'll end up being a limit set one day.
Aransas Cash Set - 700 chips
Ah and the Outpost Cash Set. Set of my demise, it was always changing, chips incoming and outgoing.
Still a rack of the pink pacheco fracs in the US I have to get rid of. Poor chippies.
THE OTHER SETS
I suppose I should mention the roulettes. No idea what I've sold. I know what I have on hand, between the full set of JACKS and chip room sales. Then there's others still in the US off eBay...who knows.
While the above listed sets were actually in my possession, there were actually more that I never even had. Many times it was due to purchasing a set and then getting a follow up message from people who really wanted the chips but had missed out. I think I may have actually put DetrioitDad to shame in these last 10 months. While I never had a ton invested in my chips at any one point, I still managed to average over two chip sets bought a month. The best part of all of this, by far and away have been the meetups. I so thoroughly enjoyed the introduction at Bills during Madness in Michigan, but then was over the moon in Florida recently this year. If I can make it, I can't wait for Minneapolis, but am sure to take a trip with the wife out to Angel Fire.
Thanks all who have helped buy or sell over these past 10 months, and even though my chip case may be quite empty, I'm always looking to pick up your custom samples. So...sell them to me!
