Not Mine Chipco Egyptians (1 Viewer)

Seller is living in fantasy land if he thinks he is going to get anywhere near $1.70 / chip for fantasy Chipcos.
These are my second favorite fantasy line and I'd love to have a high-denom tournament set.
But I don't think the value on these should be anything over 75c / chip.

The cash denoms are easily worth $1+ IMO

First of all these aren't just any Chipcos. No they aren't mine - but what I'm saying is this set in my opinion is the nicest Chipco home set ever and if they are in very good condition I think they are easily in the $1.10 to $1.25 apiece range for a playable set.

Pretty scarce really - I know of two members who have been looking for Egyptians for over a year and haven't found a decent set for sale.

Been around for about 12 years on the site not to be named because it is no longer pertinent, and here - don't see these very often especially with the plaques.

These are by far my favorite Chico chips made. Also the original plaques for this set go for a major premium.

This is a set/concept that would probably make a cool hybrid ceramic set.

Yup. Now that you mention it, I think some sold at that price last week.
I was wrong - maybe I'm thinking more casino Chipcos?
As with everything, supply and demand. There still isn't anything exactly like Chipco out there now. Even GO feels different to me. So if you like the old stuff and want it, people are going to pay (like me and Vineyard). I wouldn't pay $1+ for beat up faded casino used probably but the premium stuff like this set is great.

My original comment had more to do with them not being listed to a wider audience. I think it is also harder to get top dollar for the crazy high demons because less people tournament.
I've wanted a sample set of these for a long time and even those are hard to find. The last one up here went in 7 mins, I think.

These will probably sit and then hit eBay. I think they will probably sell for under 1k there but they will sell :)

I hear that. I'm not bashing chipcos - I like them a lot. I've been building a small mixed casino set of chipcos; that's why I've been paying attention to prices.

I would love to buy these, even at this price.
Unfortunately the seller is only accepting local buyers and cash and I live in France :(

Calling for help.
I would like to purchase these, but I don't fill in the sellers requirements, as I live abroad.
Any fellow chipper, living near Austin, ready to help me out?

If you really want Egyptian's that much, you might try posting a WTB ad here.
You may get a response and probably for a much better price.

I posted a WTB a little while ago, unfortunately I got no response.
I hope someone reads this and contacts me with a nice offer.

Considering the going rates for the octagons and the plaques as well as the pure silver dealer button ($110 at holdempokerchips), it's actually more around $1/chip ...

Good point. I didn't notice the silver dealer button.
Maybe the seller should include some pictures with his ad:)

This is undoubtedly a chipper, from either here or an old-school collector. Knows the lingo, knows the value of his cache. Needs help marketing, i.e., post some pics to spur interest.
