Preorder CHIPS* New SUN Mold*, WEB Mold, GREEK Mold *APRIL 2025* (47 Viewers)

Thanks Justin! I created a file on Poker Chip Design tool (attached image has placeholder labels just to show denominations). Would this be sufficient info or does it have to be in a different format / more detailed? I saw that others have worked directly with designers on PCF - hoping to skip that step.
We need an art file for new chips. Preferably in Adobe Illustrator. A picture from the design tool would not be sufficient

I was asked to make a 5¢ chip for the Lunar Landing set, so I wanted to make sure everyone was aware that it is available.

Also, Justin I'd like to order 150 of these in 43mm web mold + 5 Justin racks (43mm).

CPC chips are nice but also if you drop them on a hard service from not too high they break like glass. CPC’s seem much more brittle vs Paulsons.

For anyone on fence about these chips don’t be • they are THEE BEST non clay (cpc) chip I’ve ever handled and I’ve had em all past 15 years (Milano’s, Metal Slug, Pharaohs etc)

While not perfect you won’t find the quality control (very few spinners) and vibrant colours of these chips with anything other plastic chip. Plus complete customization and both sets I’ve order have been to my door within just under 3 months.

You can’t expect these to be CPC quality but for 0.60c a chip rather then $3+ a chip it’s a no brainer to get a set.

Also what I really like about these over CPC or clay is how durable they are. I’ve had a non textured set of these for over a year and played 50+ games on them and look brand new still. Even the white chips. While my CPC sets get worn, flee bit and more tilting to me very dirty due to clay absorbing much more then these clay/plastic chips.

Justin is also top notch to deal with. I’m currently working on my third set lol.

Cheers.

Dumb question, but how does one go about getting the .ai file for the web and sun mold chips? I would like to do some mocks because I am on the fence of which one I would prefer. I only have the ai file with blank molds.

Pretty new here, any assistance would be much appreciated. I'm looking at ordering some Tina chips in this current open order, but really want my own unique label. I have my label design exactly what I want. I'm trying to have someone I know draw it up on adobe illustrator like Justin prefers or another art file. So my questions are, I know there are some chip label designers on PCF, but I don't know who they are or what a estimate charge for something like this usually cost. To take my design that I already did on poker chip designer site and draw it up on correct art file professionally, so it doesn't look like a hack job as mine currently does. Last question, besides the chip prices listed, it says add $80 for labels. Does that mean, if I come up with my own chip label design on the correct art file, its $80 to have them print my custom labels and stick on my chips that I will order? I was planning on ordering 2,000 to 2,200 chips. Thanks for any tips, assistance or advice in advance.

So here's my dilemma I'm hoping for some advice with -

After diving down the rabbit hole a fair bit, I've unsurprisingly decided I love the Aurora Star tournament coloring, which leads me to want to pull the trigger on a card mold, Aurora Star tourney look-alike set for this group buy. However, I'm also mindful of how much better folks seem to think the hybrids are compared to the no- or card-mold Tinas, esp. with regard to spinners, etc. I'm trying to get my hands on a sample to see if this is going to bug me or not, but in the meantime I'm working on some alternatives that preserve the same colors as the AS set, but that use the web mold. (I know the Starnite set does this already, but I don't particularly like the label design. What do folks think between these options? (I'm already getting some Panda KGBs as a cash set, to the extent it matters, so that's why I gravitated toward that label for a white option, but honestly I'd be open to any good ideas folks have seen ...)

My 2¢ : I prefer tournament chips to not have monetary symbols so if I were to choose between these two for a tournament set I would go with Empress Star labels. I also like a lot of label diversity too so if I already had KGB cash labels I would be more inclined to go Empress Star. The hybrids are overall a better chip, but every type has its pros and cons. The plus to all of them is for the level of customization you get you cannot beat the price. Whatever you decide you will not be disappointed. They need to come with a warning. Caution Highly Addictive.

Thank you!

I’m learning towards the cards mold version just based on looks, but I’ll decide on Friday after I get my hands on some samples.

If I go hybrid, I mocked up the following that I think would work well as a “hybrid AS tribute”:

I'm also 95% sure I'll order Pandas, just need to determine denominations and potential chip re-designs
im thinking about adding some panda cash chips. my club won't ever get the black hundo chip in play, and it's the best chip imo! so i am reaching out to the creator @greedyintern to see if he can make the black chip a $10, because we definitely will get that on the felt. or maybe that is a simple adjustment @justincarothers could do. would any other panda buyers be interested in that? it not enough interest, i may just join the dark side and go #teamblackdollarchip.

My understanding is that putting existing denomination labels onto different color chips is something you can just ask Justin for. It doesn’t cost extra or require going back to the creator. (I’m doing something similar— going to do something like this for a cash set based on seeing someone else having pulled it off very effectively):

Edit: just saw that you said $10 not $1. Nevermind—since there isn’t a $10 label, I’m not sure if that requires a different label fee. (I have the same question regarding getting a $20 chip.)

yeah swapping labels to different chips is no problem. making the $10 or $20 would require a fee, but the same thing if enough people wanted it/ordered it, it would bring the fee down. I'd maybe do a $20 if there wasn't enough wanting a black chip $10. yeah, i love the black chip so definitely would go with the black dollar if the black $10 won't get traction.

Have been waiting to put my own KGB Panda order in partly due to exploring other chip options for a $10 or $20 chip. Despite the denomination popularity, I would like to avoid a $25 and 25cent chip. I would be interested in a $10 or $20 or maybe even both.

What would be the fee to make a $10 or $20 KGB panda label?

We changed to $10 chips and it’s the work horse and awesome. We Even use it now for the $1/$2 game and just have minimal $1s & $5s, lots of $10s and $100s • dealers love it also. No need for $20 imo if you do $10 and vice versa

Lunar Landing Cash - Textured Sun Mold - 39mm:
125 - .25c (regular cash label on the T1000 chip)
225 - .$1 (regular cash label on the T5000 chip)
125 - $5 (regular cash label on the T500 chip)
50 - $25 (regular cash label on the T25 chip)
Total: 525

I saw on a previous group buy you added a ‘$’ to the mint T25, but if that ended up falling through, then swap out the $25 chips for:
50 - $20 (regular label on the regular $20 chip)

Thank you!
