Not Mine Clearly, These Chips Must be Made of Gold... (1 Viewer)

I only want the one green chip shown, if I buy is there enough interest to parcel out the rest of this amazing vintage set?

First I wanna take the baseball for $800 in his other auctions... :sneaky:

Sometimes I contact sellers like this posing as a potential buyer to see what other bs they will spew. This looks like one of those times and I'm a bit bored right now.

Based on his other auctions, I'm guessing he just accidentally added an extra zero or two. I doubt he intended to sell them for 5k

He must have seen the auction prices on here lately.....

We have officially gone NUTZ on pricing in the last couple of months.

Anybody remember the movie "Brewsters Millions", where Richard Pryor had to spend 30 million in 30 days? eBay and moronic sellers would make that movie such an extreme cakewalk now.

The best was when he mailed the letter with that rare stamp, rendering it worthless.
Yeah and he did that fairly early... bit if an ace in the hole. He ultimately had loads of fun blowing cash on the NOTA election and baseball game but there shouldn't have been any stress or doubt once he mailed that postcard. Whatever else happens throughout the month he could have just blown his wad on stamps at the end of the month.

Yep, the stamp was kind of what I was thinking, but with eBay today, you wouldn't even have to go to the post office. Sit on your couch, buy vintage chips for thousands, and once you receive them you find they're worthless.

Well, bad news for those who procrastinated and didn't buy these while the iron was hot...the seller has ended the item saying it's no longer available for sale. Or one of you lucky bastards convinced them to give you the PCF outside-of-eBay discount, taking these babies home for the bargain basement price of just $4500.

I'd hope that the real answer is they realized their mistake in pricing, but if that was the case I don't see why they'd end the listing rather than just correcting it.
