Cost of Casino Aztar chips (maybe PCA) (1 Viewer)

I made the mistake of ordering a sample set of the Indiana Casino Aztar chips. I might be interested in starting a cash game set of these, but I wouldn't know where to start on pricing them. A recent 400 chip set sold for less than 350 (best offer accepted). I would be interested in:

Either Indiana 1$ (preferably orange edge spots) or Secondary PCA 1$
Indiana 5$ w/ blue and green edge spots (primary?) or maybe Primary PCA 5$
Indiana 25$ with purple and blue slit edge spots (primary)
Any Aztar 100$ chip or PCA 100$ w/ pink/orange spots

What is the approximate cost of these chips? I know there are currently 3 sets of PCA secondary 1s currently at 1$ a chip on eBay, but that's my only lead.

I know a little about Aztar prices (I've bought 2500 of them myself). Give or take a little, they are going for:

Any 1's = 50c to $1 each ..... condition is king on these
Any 2.50's = 75c to $1 each
Any 5's = 50 to 75c each
Primary 25s = 50 to 60 each
Secondary 25s = $1 to $1.25 each
Primary 100's = $3 to $4 each <------ super sexy chips (y) :thumbsup:
Secondary 100's = $2.50 to $3 each
Any 500's = $4 each
Any 1000's = $8 to $10 each

Thanks for the info! That's actually a little better than I was hoping, but I don't see them for sale very often and by the looks of your sig I have would have competition.

The PCA $1 secondaries have been selling in the $1.25-$1.50 range lately for brand new/mint condition chips, closer to the low end of that range if slightly used (I would guess the ones on eBay will end up selling in that range when all is said and done).

I'd expect PCA $5 primaries to range from $0.60-$0.80/each (I sold some recently for a little less than that here, along with a few PCA primary chips).

PCA $100 secondaries (pink/orange spots) are closer to the $4/chip range (I bought a barrel on eBay a couple months ago for $86, a little more than I wanted to pay, but I really wanted them at the time).

I am only after secondary 100's and primary 500's...... and even then I am not looking for big quantities anymore, so buy away. I wanted primary 100's but when I initially bought the chips, they were all sold out (for good reasons). Finding cash game denominations are easy enough (1's to 25's). If you want fracs, then you have to get the Missouri Aztar chips (different Paulson mold). I'd rather have real Aztar 50c chips in a different mold than have the matching mold but relabeled. You can also use the 2.50 Indiana snappers as 50c if you don't mind them saying 2.50. Figure $1.50 per chip for the 50c Aztars....but they are uber hard to find (I've been snatching up singles whenever I see them).

Good to know. I would probably just end up using some other chip for fracs because I typically just use .25$ chips in my games

Yes, they are vinyl and come off fairly easy ..... but not easy when playing (you have to make an effort to take them off). They won't ruin the chips and leave very little stickyness. I picked up 200 GC dollar chips for cheap, had the labels made, and they came out perfect. GC chips are usually worn, but for the price, and the fact the mold matches and the spots work with the rest of them, it was an easy decision.

psshhhhh, split them up by denom and you'll have them all sold in no time (except the 25's because those seem to sit for a while)

And you sold that barrel of 100s on eBay for $70 quickly too (almost 4/chip)....they are by far the nicest looking Aztar chips.
