Are they still slippery? I bought a set about 15-20 years ago, and they were pretty slippery. Stacks would slide and fall over whenever someone bumped the table. Does anyone know what I'm talking about here? Do they still have this tendency/feel today?

I don't feel mine are even slightly slippery. Mold may play a big part in it though.

My CPC A Molds are great. Stack very well and handle nicely. They need more games in them but I'm pleased and a repeat buyer.

The only molds I could see ever being described as slippery would be the Roman and Plain molds (smooth and textured). Otherwise I've always found them as grippy as any other clay chips.

Agree. @RainmanTrail , if your ASM/CPC chips were slippery, it most likely was the Roman mold. It is probably one of the most disliked molds because of this.

3 custom ASM/CPC sets: A-mold, Elephant & Crown, and Plain Textured mold. None are slippery and the Plain mold is just as grippy.

Yea, I found the plain mold to be pretty grippy. Check out the texture. Feels like the A-mold.

My HHR mold chips are10 years old and I have never had an issue with them being slippery.

I guess it's a matter of opinion as to the Plain mold. I had a textured set and found it to be much slicker than the other chips I had at that time (H, HHR, Hourglass, E&C).

To be clear, I'm being pretty liberal in calling them slick or slippery. On a scale of dice chips (0) to interlocking chips (100), I would say all ASM molds fall somewhere between 45 and 75 with those that I am calling slippery at the low end of that range.
