UPDATE: Post 27 has better pictures after oiling!

After a long wait my custom chips came in today!

My favorite chip is the 5, followed by the .25, then 1, then 20, and 100 finally.

The faces look good as is but I'll be very lightly oiling the edges by the barrel to make the colors pop.

Very happy with how they turned out!

I definitely will need to do an add on at some point in the near future to get more 1's and 5's. I'd probably get more .25's to have a complete rack of those. I'm not sure but I may redesign the 100 when I do the add on.

Can't argue with that. I find oiling the edges is enough. I never oil the face of the chips.

Yeah the faces don't ever seem like they need oiling from what I've seen with chips even after cleaning them.

Great looking set!! My favorite is the 20. We both kind of took the same route on getting to our customs (label project turned expensive!)

Congratulations on the set!!

Great looking set. Worth the wait! Like all of you selections, including the 100. Well done cheese!

Thanks everybody! Can't wait to get these in play! I'll update the thread with more pron tonight once I get them oiled and on the table!

I don't think I could handle the wait. I have trouble handling the 2 day priority mailings for regular chip purchases.

Edit: and waiting for international packages to arrive just puts me on tilt!

The trick is to order something every day. That way there's always something coming, you can't remember what's what but you're happy when it arrives. I still haven't figured out what to do about Sundays yet though.

These are all really nice!
Was the .25 bright white with or without premium? Also same question for the spots on the $1 & $100 ...

Thanks!
The .25c was just normal white even though in the pictures it looks like bright white
$1 was bright white with imperfections so no premium
$100 was the same as the $1

. I also used Bright white no premium for the spots on my Boardwalk Card Club 25, & regular white as one of the spots on the 500 ..
I am very curious to see some chips using the non-prem bright white as the base color.

I could be wrong but I think they wont do bright white as a base unless they do the premium. I think I asked about that for my .25c if I'm remembering correctly.

^ yeah I thought the same about bright white base being prem only.

It's interesting though - all of the plain white chips I've seen lately look absolutely amazing and bright enough to my eyes. It's still not Paulson white but it's looking fantastic. I'm 100% set on plain white for my $1.

Great chips, @Mr. Cheese - you've done well! Oh man, the chip envy is building up so much !!!

Edit - Had to come back and say those 25c chips look beyond incredible in stacks!!! (y)

Lightly oiled the rolling edges and took a bunch more pictures. I'm in love!

Few pictures of the oiled barrels vs the non oiled. The oil really helps make the colors pop.

I believe you're correct. Here's the exact verbiage from the CPC site "Bright White is inherently difficult to work with as it gets contaminated so easily. It therefore carries a premium of 53c a chip, regardless of chip style, for either body or spot color. Bright White edge spots with more noticeable (but still slight) impurities are available for no premium."

Emphasis mine - the way I read it this applies to edge spots only. My last order had the non-premium edge spots but I didn't have any white base chips so this issue never specifically came up.

Congrats on a great set, I think the $1s are my favorite of the bunch. Are those 1" inlays? CPC did a fantastic job getting those centered *just* right.
