Hi all, thought it would be fun to do a quick year-in-review of all the sets I've made (and received) so far this year. A few sets are still open that will come next year (Tina - Teenage Mutant Poker Turtles, Tina - Cash Plaques, Tina - Tangiers, CPC - Jolly Roger, CPC - Casino Royales), but will save those for another day.

1. Dunes of Arrakis
Original Thread:
https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/dunes-of-arrakis.117786/
Background: Big Dune fan, and have always loved the novels. The second film came out and I left the theater thinking it would be fun to mash-up dune with dunes casino... here we are.. not much more to it than that.

2. Cratty House Poker
Original Thread:
https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/cratty-house-poker.118710/
Background: Each house reflects one of the major houses/cabins in my life.. from home growing up, family cabin, grandfathers house (stayed in with my single-mom for early childhood), first home owned with wife, current home, and of course.. Homer Simpson's house (because why not.. ha). Each house has spot colors that are also theme-wise tied to each house.. current home = Michigan colors, childhood home = chicago/bulls colors, first home = baby colors (both kids born there), etc.

3. Nuka Casino, New Vegas
Original Thread:
https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/nuka-casino-new-vegas.119325/
Background: Grew up obsessed with Bethesda games (Fallout, Morrowind, Oblivion), and after watching the new TV series... once again thought it would be fun to make a custom "Fantasy" casino.. this time making a tournament set. Similar to the Dunes chips, I wanted to keep it pretty subtle theme-wise relative to the game/show, but build upon in long-term with more directly inspired IP items (e.g. dealer buttons, the plaques, etc).

4. Mr. Burns' Casino
Original Thread:
https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/mr-burns-casino.120100/
Background: I loved the Simpsons growing up... and thought childhood me would kick myself in the crotch if I didn't. My room as a kid was full of Simpsons items that I collected, and I even painted a 10'x12' mural of homer at his desk on one of my walls. Haven't cared about the show much since over the past 20 years or so, but loved the idea of the childhood tie.

4. Musky Jack's
Original Thread:
https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/musky-jacks.121246/
Background: Posted a bit more in length in the original thread, but my grandfather (Jack) passed away this year. While I was at the family cabin, I picked through his fishing lures (long-time Musky fisherman) and did a set themed around the lures/him.

Love those Musky Jacks
Thanks! They might be my favorite so far.. other than the theme, there's something just amazing about handling and playing with the 43mm hybrids.

I've debated opening them up for public ordering (no fee) if anyone else would ever want the set, but would need to make a few tweaks to colors first (e.g. slightly lighten the inlay background, drop contrast on the pink chip a hair, change blue chip yellow spot to a slightly more brown tone, add a $100 chip).

I might be repeating myself but @Cratty you are a genius! The Dunes of Arrakis, Mr Burns Casino & (the still to come) Ninja Mutant Poker Turtles are the reason why I started my own project and quest to create my custom Tina set. One by one incredible sets. I hope we get to enjoy more of your creations in the years to come

What's your personal favorite?
Oof.. like picking children.. each has scratched a different itch, but tie between Musky Jacks (favorite theme) and Burns (favorite design). That said, Tangiers will almost undoubtedly take the seat once those are finally produced.. hearing from @justincarothers that the mold should be ready soon... :)

@Cratty, that Dunes of Arrakis is my favorite poker chipset hands down. The colors, molds, design - are great. They say that "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" So... I just designed and ordered my own set from @justincarothers (Broken Arrow Cardroom Supply), based on yours. The building on my chips is our local courthouse - our town's most recognizable feature. Colors & denominations match the colors in my existing game.
