Hi all. I used to hang out on this forum a bit, but completely lost my username/pw. I must have been using some old junk email account, because I can't find anything.

Anyway, I have been out of the chip/home poker game (family, life, etc.) for quite a while now, and I am looking to sell my set to purchase some upgrades for my new truck. However, I can't get a feel for what they are worth on eBay, and I'm not sure where else to turn. So can you guys help? I need to get a solid count, but my set is *something* like this (all colors are from the original run of PCR, as I understand there have been more since):

200x PCR $5
200x PCR $25
200x PCR $100
100x PCR $500
100x PCR Non-Denom Gray

There may be 50 more or less of any one color; I will get a solid count later tonight. Also have a nice 2-tier mahogany (removable top rack) case for them (which may have a couple scratches).

What are they worth nowadays, and would I be better off selling them as a set, or breaking up into smaller sets or individual barrels, or what? Thoughts?

Any input is appreciated.

Post them for sale in the classifieds on this site. If you want to sell them by the end of the day list them for 1 buck each plus shipping.

I sold my denominated set for 1.30 plus shipping per chip (500 chip set) about a year ago. They didn't hit the 24 hour mark before they were sold.

I should have also asked, is eBay recommended for chip sales? I don't see any large amounts of PCR currently listed, nor recently sold. Only a couple small sets & sampler packs.

I think I could have gotten 1.5 out of them. I paid 1 buck. Didn't want to take advantage of my fellow PCF'ers.

Ray, if your taking them to eBay. Get what you can out of them :)

oh, that's the plan man. I don't really WANT to get rid of them, but I can't justify keeping them since I haven't hosted a game in 2 years. and right now I want toys for my new truck, so I am looking to maximize profit! :D

I guess I just needed a starting point for the list price.

Tough to price these now a days. I assume you are referring to the Original PCR line?

As a set I would say 1.30 -1.50 per chip, but you may be able to find a buyer who is looking to add on to their set and willing to pay more...Maybe 1.60-2 for certain denominations.

From the original line, I think the fives and the 100s are pretty sought after. The 25s and 500s fell out of favor for a while, but might have had a resurgence due to scarcity. The NCV are pretty commonplace and may actually still be sold by apache?

I own a small set of these and have considered adding on a few times. I think ssanel's post is spot on.

Given how few Paulson sets are on the market right now you should be able to get top dollar.

List them by the rack on eBay for 99 cents with no reserve. I think that's the cheapest way to do it re: fèes, and the market demand wiĺl drive the final selling prices up to acceptable levels.

Add a $200 BIN if desired.

I don't really see your set as valuable as mentioned above. As you can see on my profile I'm a long time member on this forum and happen to be an expert on chip prices. If you are looking to get a good price for them I can pay you $250 for the whole set including international shipping.

Sorry. Your set is sweet and denominations match 100% to what I'm looking for but they are WAY out of my budget. GLWS!

FYI I accepted a best offer of $1325 on eBay. So there's my answer!

Nice pic and set :). I like these better than TH&C Worlds, but the Worlds seem to go for a bit more. Same chips, shaped label versus hotstamp.

I just seem to like hotstamps better. It may be because I have lots of chips with labels.
