I've decided to re-felt my 48 inch octagon table with a Chanman custom cloth so I'm looking for some feedback on the design so far. @p5woody is doing the design and has sent over several ideas to get the ball rolling.

Number 6: Moved the cityscape down a little per @inca911 suggestion

2 for me as well. It is the one that sticks out the most. I like it.

What about something instead of fake Speed cloth patterns. maybe it is just me, but I am not a fan of fake speed cloth just to make it look like speed cloth

#5

I like the grey border (red words are harder to read, especially against a dark background) and I prefer grey felt with black suits rather than black felt with grey suits.

if you are using suited speed cloth, then #2. The black looks great

You're not, are you? This is just part of the dye-subbed cloth, right?

Agreed. I'd prefer plain felt, or some other pattern rather than SSC. But that's just me.

Yeah its gaming cloth from Chan so it would just be dyed to look like the SSC pattern.

@chase with my basement remodel I didn't have room for two tables so Forrest has that one now. I was going to do Tommy Gun "SSC" but after seeing a mockup of it I wasn't super crazy about the look.

#5 for me. I like the contrast of the gray cloth with your darker artwork center area. And I like the betting line text without the red. (y)

#2 looks too dark in my opinion. There other felts offer better contrast. They all look good, personal preference would be a slight lean towards #3.

Well number 2 seems to be the most popular option so far. If anyone else has any suggestions for improvements feel free to suggest them. Nothing is finalized yet by any means.

#2 seems a little too dark to me as well. I'll take a #4 with fries, mostly because of the red "Gangster Squad" text in the betting line providing a nice accent. I think the black space underneath the "Gangster Squad Card Room" should have a little something in it. Perhaps some of the black/grey streaming lines from above continuing down below the logo text?

How are you not coming to the MTTD? You sound like fun!!!
It is happening in 2018, I've already blocked off May to be sure. In the meantime I will ping you every time we go back to Madison area for a weekend in hopes that you're hosting!

#5 for me - the others just look too busy or confusing or disruptive

Updated first post with a new option (#6) per Forrest's suggestion

I'm voting for #6 but with the racetrack from #2. I think the darker racetrack makes the center look lighter/brighter and it POPS more

Have you considered a red outline for the betting line?

Dan, are those colors set in stone? Red/Black/White felt with chips in Red, Black and White - did a chip got lost on the former table occasionally?

Since the other table is out of view, the option to try a new color scheme for the GS-logo on the new felt may be something to explore, imho.
I can easily imagine a circle-square pattern running around as the betting line or a simplified, giant, plain CSQ chip for the center with your gangster squad logo in the middle ... I could throw a quick draft together when on lunch break.

They aren't set in stone yet but no we never had issues with chips getting lost on the other table. Sure that'd be great to see what you mean if you have the time :)

Lunch long gone but after work I had a couple of minutes to mock up what I had in mind this morning
I'm pretty sure we've got quite different tastes and I created a completely different mood that may be the opposite of what you'd like to maintain with a new felt. That said - feel free to immediately kill the pic with admin privileges if it doesn't appeal. :D
