Do people sell inserts that would be able to convert the dealer tray hole area to a regular seating spot?

I'm only searching because I don't use the chip tray and I wanted the dealer spot to feel like a regular one.

Thanks for any help or insight!

Reach out to @Mr Tree or @BGinGA . While I haven't seen them replace a chip tray, I have seen their handiwork removing a shuffling machine, and you would never know now that it was once there.

I've not seen any inserts for sale, but the hole can be filled somewhat easily.... depends on the table construction, and whether you want a removable plug or a permanent fix.

Pictures of the table -- with tray in place, and with tray removed -- woild be helpful.

Thank you for the suggestion!
I will post a picture once I get home today.
I'm very excited now!

Drop in plug would be easy to make. Hopefully you have a piece of felt and foam that is the same as on your table.

I made one for my table. That chip tray was the dumbest decision I made building a poker table and I finally reupholstered the table and filled in the hole permanently.

The next part is important too... the way I see it, you have three options:
1. easily removable plug... because you want to use the chip tray sometimes
2. less easily removable plug... screws to table... but is still a plug (semi permanent).
3. remove the felt, plug the hole, add foam, apply new felt... permanent... no more hole... no more WSOP felt.

Cut a square to fit the hole, add foam and felt, then add a removable brace underneath the chip tray area to support the plug.
Yeah, I'd go with Shaggy's #1 option, using Tony's process.

Measure the hole, cut a piece of similar-thickness plywood to slightly-undersize, add foam and whatever cover material you plan to use, then add a brace underneath.

Lots of ways to construct a brace, but I'd probably just cut a second plywood section that is 4" longer and wider than the hole, and screw it to the underside (make sure your screws are proper length to avoid penetrating the table surface under the foam). Drop in the insert, and play.

Right on!
Sounds like a plan.
Once I finish I'll be sure to post pictures in this same section.
Thanks everyone
