Hi!

I am looking for a new chipset and I am currently deciding between China clays or buying a hybrid ceramics set in a group buy. Besides getting samples to decide which one I would want to get, I was wondering what people in the forum generally feel about these kind of chips. Do the majority like one of them more than the other or is it equal?

Please tell me your experience with either one!

When a website says "Pure clay" do they refer to china clays? Like this set? https://www.straightpokersupplies.com/crazy-horse-600-poker-chips-w-acrylic-carrier-and-racks.html
They are referring to China Clay. The industry is gross - clay composite, True Clay, China Clay are all made up terms that refer to plastic. Not only is China Clay actually injection molded plastic, but it is often smelly.

Just one man’s opinion, but I’d never buy China Clay. On a budget, I’d either buy cheaper plastics or Tina hybrids or good ceramics.

Well thats good I made this thread. I was about to buy the Banks China Clay or the Majestics from pokershop.de. I also realized how overpriced they are. I did not even notice the rounded edges. But thanks!
