Desert Palm (not CC) Starter Set - Worth Anything? (1 Viewer)

Hey all. I’m new to this and have about 700 desert palm chips that have been sitting in my closet for awhile now. Going to start hosting a game and am getting a set of something else.

Are these worth anything? Sorry for the dumb question. Thanks in advance for your help.

I had a set of those as my first ever non-dice set.

I feel like I remember them being worth about $0.10 a chip years ago. I imagine $50-$70 maybe.

Seems like a reasonable question to me.

From the pics I assume these are plastic.

You can get a brand new, custom breakdown denominated set of plastic chips for around 15 cents per chip, so you can use that as the ceiling for the most you should ever be able to score for these. However yours are not a custom breakdown (to the buyer) and are not brand new. So I agree with @Perthmike

More importantly, what’s the set of “something else”?

It may have been me. I was looking at possibly adding to this set. But I found some other chips to take their place.
