//Edit:
So now the struggle is whether i want to have a Cards Mold Tinas or a NoMold Textured.

I got two Designs which i really like but that could change within seconds.. i redesign the Chips every few hours

Design 1 is for the NoMold textured, Design 2 for the Cards Mold. What do you guys think?

And do you have an idea which color the "Tire-Circle" (sorry for my english :P) should have to be noticable with white/offwhite Chipcolors?

Remember, you can't print white, you're actually printing the black around it. If your white text and graphics get a little too fine, then the black bleed may hinder the legibility. You must be careful when using black or other very dark backgrounds.

Ok, thanks.
So it would make a difference if the clear white would be another color (like offwhite) because it will be sprayed on the Chip (instead of just being left out)?

Not really. Bleed s bleed. What matters is the fineness of the lines in the font. It is better to go with thicker lines than thin ones.

The issue tends to go away if printing dark font over very light background.

Even fine black text tends to bleed slightly and get bolder. When printing white text in a black background, it’s better to pick a typeface like a sans-serif that doesn’t have thin areas in the letterform. This is especially important with very small text like “Hanover” in the design.

Hey, i edited the first post and completely changed the Design. Maybe you could help me with that?

I don’t know anything about design but I would advise to reconsider the denoms a bit. There’s is no need for both a $5 and a $10 chip. I would swap the $10 for a $20/$25 or go full unconventional yet super efficient with 10c/50c/$2/$10/$50. Why not change to € btw?

Hey, thanks for your reply.
We don’t play with quarters in our Group (Germany), so it has to be 10c as a Frac. It’s pretty much the way we‘ve always played and I don’t want to change that. It’s hard to explain :D We like the 1s .. and we never play with more than 10s, so that’s a custom set for our private Game.
And ofc it has to be $ (not €) because we want that "Las Vegas/USA/Casino" Feeling :P

Not suggesting you change the frac, but making the $10 a $20 or $25 is more efficient. Ideally you want 4-5x between denoms

Totally relatable, I did the same with my customs despite playing in Swedish krona

Sorry, I misread that.

We usually don’t play Cashgame with more than 30-50€ (buyins; never more than 100€ an Evening), and 20-25$ just don’t come into play that often.
I know about that 4-5x. I think 10c-$5 will be the only Chips in play but i wanted that extra 10$ Chip ;-)

This makes sense, but we hear this a lot, people dont think their games will grow but they end up growing.

Cards mold chips are relatively cheap; why not make it a $20 so you can handle your game growing PLUS it'll be epic once one gets into play? $10 is pretty much useless, but a barrel of $20s would double the bank that you have. If you're going to have an extra chip you dont use much, might as well make it potentially useful.

I got two! I run a 5cent/10cent game and got $20s and $100s because it was only a few bucks more to skyrocket the bank I had...plus it was awesome when that first 20 hit the felt.

I guess you are right - i will design a 20/25$ Chip aswell.

Anybody about the Design itself? Will the Colors work, should i change some colors? Text too small or ok? etc.

Cool! For a fully custom set, these seem very plain Ill admit, and I dont like the label being a different color white.

Totally up to you, if you're happy? Great! But ceramics are very versatile and you can do lots of cool designs and printing, while these are very simple. Simple means every detail will be scrutinized even more.

You got some good points honestly. I always thought i´d had to mimic real Poker Chips - but i can totally be wild with the design. I will still buy a Set with that design and be wild with my next one. Thanks for your input.

Got Pictures of the Cardmold-Samples yesterday. Right now i am changing some things - the inlay Color is too yellowish. Thought it would look like a bit offwhite.

Imo, the pink and red chips are too close in color. I'd swap the 10c chip colors, making it yellow with pink spots.

Yes, i already changed the colors. I dont know if i really like yellow on that 10c so i made it peach.

I changed the 50c Chip to lightblue + pink Edgespots, because that lightblue/lightgrey should pop off more than the 10c Chip. But now i need help with the 10c Chips --> which one do you guys prefer?

I updated the first post with two different Inlay-Sizes. The bigger one for NoMolds, the smaller Inlay-Size for Cards Mold.
Any thoughts?
