I'm not going to be down there any time soon, and I'm not gonna make a trip for 1 chip.
Maybe others are interested?
There is no more poker at Hollywood/Greektown, so I'm not sure how easy these chips will be to grab.

It’s easy. Go to any table, preferably one that has no action. Buy in for $20 and ask for all $1’s. If it’s a nice dealer they will even pick out the good ones for you. Literally never been turned away from doing this and work in the industry… it’s known and accepted.

I know how to harvest, but I don't want to make a trip for only 1 chip. And my point is, without poker, there won't be as many table games that use $1 chips.

Sorry about that, I got you now. I’ve been gone from there for awhile but I always remember they racks in the main pit being loaded with 1’s and 5’s during the week and changed during the weekends for larger play.
It’s whatever someone would want in return. I’m down for a trade of 10 for 10, 20 for 20, he’ll, 100 for 100… I just put it out there to see if anyone would be interested in the overall aspect of a trade, for Hollywood Greektown.

I haven't been to a Detroit casino in over a decade.
So I made a harvest run this morning to G-Town. Here is what I found out:
Fracs: There are new fracs on the tables. They are mixed in with the old ones and only available on the Baccarat table in the high limit room. There was not a huge inventory on said table.....maybe 30-40 fracs total when I was there at noon'ish today.
1s: There are new 1s on all the tables. They are mixed in with the old ones. If you ask a dealer for 10 1s, they peel off the next 10 chips out of the tray. If you get 3 (more or less) new chips you are lucky. When I politely asked the dealer to dig out the new ones when asking for my 10 1s, they looked at me like I had 3 eyes....until I started joking around with them....and of course throwing around some tip $'s...then they loosened up a bit....but only a bit.
Snappers: There are new $2.50s on all the BJ tables. They are mixed in with the old ones.
5s: One dealer said there were some new 5s scattered around the casino, but not many of them. I never saw any in the trays of the several tables I played on. All I saw were the old bicycle tire 5s they have had on the floor since the place opened way-back-when.
25s and up: none at this time....just the same old bike tires....
According to several dealers, the chips have been on the tables for +/-3 weeks or so.
There is no longer a poker room at G-Town. So from my perspective, harvesting a rack of 1s would be possible, but would take some time. Harvesting a playable set of 1s would take A LOT of time. Harvesting fracs would be damn near impossible....but don't tell a PCR'er that a harvesting mission is impossible....I'm sure they will prove me wrong.
