Costs about ~$20USD to ship up to a couple Racks, Tracked, and Insured to $100. What does it cost on the US side of the border?

If you are asking what is costs to ship a rack from a USA address to USA it's about:

$11.20 for a padded flat rate envelope at the post office, or about $10 if you use an online shipping service (pirate). Less if you use your own box and know how to work the rates to your advantage.

From USA to Canada, a flat rate padded envelope is about $30 at the post office. Or about $20 using an onle shipping service at a slower delivery time.

Thanks for the infor, so a CDN to US transaction costs about an extra 10 cents per chip on the 1st Rack vs a US to US. Trying to advocate that Canadian deals are not a problem, in the big picture.

Just hate Canadians getting chopped out of deals, particularly when President elect is calling us the 51st State, and when we are happy to pay for Shipping as purchasers for the most part.

FWIW…

With respect to shipping, I’ve been receiving 600-900 chips, per shipment, over the last 3 years, for like $50-60USD. This is pretty recent too, paid like $62. Used to be cheaper, pre covid.

Using UPS.

Consolidating orders, waiting patiently, has its place.

Selling 95? Looks like a full rack is pictured.
I want to hold back a few for a reference collection, but I can sell all if price is right

Yeah that seems expensive. And Canadian shipping to boot.
Not necessarily, depending your appetite for patience, I will be in the States in mid Jan, so you can enjoy USPS shipping rate. And I'm not against a quick trip across the border to ship it as well as @Flopalopagus can tell you

Dealing with CP is what bugs me. I don't want my buyers to wait forever till CP figure there things out lol. I had my first label stuck for over a month due to reasons that you are well aware of, so depending on where you are you can also offer USPS shipping

I agree! I think it's ridiculous that many US sellers will not ship out of the country. I've shipped many packages to Canada, Europe, and a couple to Aus. Never had an issue. As long as the seller is willing to pay the cost and take the risks, there is no good reason for sellers not to ship anywhere. It is no more difficult to pack up and purchase postage than it is to ship within the US. If using USPS, you can even use all the same free boxes and envelopes.

You are in a VERY small minority group of US sellers, that sees it this way.

The guys like yourself who will help us out with a document, or an extra signature here, or a declaration there, make this hobby possible for us.

Please accept my gratitude on behalf of ALL chip crazed Canucks! I’ve been the beneficiary of numerous amazing folks, who help me out over the years, but in the beginning, I lost out on multiple deals because sellers would not work with me. I would bid and dibs anything, without considering my location. So please keep on keepin on!

I am completely with @TX_Golf_N_Poker on shipping internationally.

I always am willing to ship international as long as the buyer understands the risks and the extra costs.
There is slightly more paperwork, but I do everything online, so it's mostly just copy/paste for me.

Honestly, I use Shipstation for postage, and the form literally takes 30 seconds to complete. Took me a little longer the first time or two, just because it was something new. But anyone who says it's too much work is just being ridiculously lazy. Ask someone here who does it. Any of us will walk you through it. I think it was @Himewad who showed me how to do it.

Yep, I use PirateShip personally, mainly because it links directly to my PayPal account. But international shipping is easy. Just make sure you get the mailing address filled out correctly, as foreign address formats are slightly different than the one we are used to in the states.

Shipstation also links directly with PayPal. I was of the belief that it was actually part of PayPal... Maybe not.

Oh nice. I don't think it used to do that. I had problems with my Shipstation packages being price adjusted many times, as well. Despite me having a scale and weighing every package. It was happening far too many times and was becoming a headache. Hasn't happened a single time with PirateShip.

I see you are in Mission. What's stopping you from having stuff shipped to WA and hopping over the border to pick them up? I find that most of the time it is quicker and cheaper way to buy from US, poker chip or not

I’m lifetime banned from USA. This was an obvious choice but it’s not available to me. Wifey got tired after 1-2 years of doing the runs.

Didn’t like relying on other locals.

So, reship it is, for me. It’s worked well.

I ain’t a criminal, but one fine day, my car smelled like weed, and they came down with a pretty outrageous ban. Homeland security is judge jury and hammer. So……

Im just trying to clarify this...
You are selling 95 DJ Snappers @ $4.50 each or trade 1 to 1 for DJ $500's. If I offer to trade you 95 DJ $500's for 95 DJ Snappers that's the deal and you'd accept? To buy all 95 chips the cost is $427.50. To buy the remaining 5 chips and have a full rack I'd need to exceed the $4.50 per chip you're asking? "If the price is right" implies that to get the full rack I need to offer more than $450 for the rack. Is all this correct?

Yes and no, I will trade 1 for 1 for DJ 500s, but probably not for all 95 of them, as I don't need 95 DJ 500s without additional 100s (and even 25s). If you offer something that exceed the trade value of my snappers, I will happily pay cash for the difference as well.

Your reading of buying all 95 vs buying all 100 is correct. I just want to hold back a few for a reference collection of all chips I have the pleasure of handling before

My advise is for you to ask if anyone here has a single chip for sale or go on eBay and buy yourself a single chip and sell this rack complete. Buyers want racks (100) or barrels (20). If anything you are reducing the value and desirability of your chips for sale unless of course there's someone out there with 5 DJ Snappers looking to fill in their rack.

Thank you for the advice, and I will take it into consideration

I put them up the way it is cause I'm not too motivated to sell them out right. I much prefer trading for what I want to complete my set. I'm aware that the last rack of DJ snappers sold for $400 here, and my price is slightly higher to sell as barrels/singles. I have had a member offering $5.25 per chip for DJ 500s, which is quite a bit inflated IMO

not really when $500s were $4ea when they were sold also $500s are not the easiest to way but neither are the snappers
