Goin to grab 500 of these for pretty cheap locally tomorrow. Can't find much info on the mold other than that CPC owns it and was making chips on it? Looks like there isn't enough recess for labels?

Great pickup and nice standard colors. How's K1 doing? " Never Been Better" :)

I have about a thousand of these...mostly blanks with diff colors. I saw the actual mold at ASM when they were operating in Vegas. It looked like it hadn't been used for decades. I was planning a project to have custom hotstamp set of a underground SF club in Chinatown which I have a few surviving chips.

The mold looks pretty cool. Anyone know what time period this mold was used?
Also pretty cool having chinese characters as hotstamps! funny how both the blue and red chip both say 500 on them though, thats a bit strange. The white says 1000

These chips were left by my grandfather from a cardroom where he used to work in SF so I'm thinking 1940's to 60's. Growing up I used to play around with the chips in his junk drawer and I would wonder about the 500/1000 denominations. Now I'm thinking maybe it was a primary/secondary set kind of deal.

Did you pick them up yet? How do they look? PRON please.

Interested in 400 more for your collection? They won't take labels :( haha, but I couldn't pass em up for a pretty good price plus a nice walnut case. They feel good though, all ~ 9.5g and in decent condition.

I wonder if you can get rid of the monogram hotstamps with Magic Eraser since there's no recess. Or maybe even a light grit sandpaper.

That or milling em out for a label, probably not worth the hassle. I've already got 700 paulsons I need to label for my tourney set
