Just checking if anyone else has tried this, I thumbed around for a few hours but have nothing amazing to show off yet.

There were some posts in a thread back some time ago, but I don't remember where they were. Might possibly been in conjunction with the Tiger Palace sale.

I used AI to generate some ideas. But I don't think there are prompts that would let you get a high res mock that would look good without some design and illustration tweaks.

I also thought it was Adobe Illustrator, just used to seeing AI in that context.
I’ve started using AI for design inspiration. I used to use Google with keywords, but seeing what AI can spit out can be very helpful.

In addition, I recently ran a Viva Las Vegas chip through AI to see what it would look like in a realistic setting. Although the text is funky, I like the interpretation:

In 5 years time tops there'll be a thread here asking "Anyone ever tried NOT using AI to design their own chips?"

Even where the designs are uniquely meaningful to the designer, and they incorporate beloved themes (family, a special place, a happy time), I can see AI being so prevalent that people use it as a go-to just because it's there (as opposed to now, where it's available but not widely used).
