I know the whole story about the difference in screen used CDI chips and the JB98, but I was scrolling through eBay today and saw this:

It is the same CDI $50 that is listed in the License to Kill movie, but could this chip have also been used in Golden Eye?

without renting the movie and trying to see anything better, I found this online and it looks like the one stack might be the $50 CDI and possibly the solids the other CDI from LTK?

Anyone have any knowledge of this, or do you think whoever put this plaque together got the wrong movie?

Thanks for any help or thoughts,

Yes; If you look closely in Goldeneye you'll see stacks of the $10, $50, and $100 Isthmus chips, as well a several colors of the roulettes, used as set dressing on the baccarat table.

I had actually seen that auction (and another by the same seller featuring one of the roulette chips), and had reached out to see whether they had any extra or would be willing to sell them individually (provided they hadn't been destroyed/rendered irremovable from the display by some harsh glue). The seller responded quickly, but said that they had lost the chips, and would be taking down the auctions because the chips were no longer included. However, that was several weeks ago, and the auctions are still there (even being reposted in the interim). Somewhat fishy...

In any case, I will keep my eye out for others that may surface. In the interim, here's my collection, with two of the genuine props as a start. :)

I always wanted to pick up some of the props since I also have a jb98 set, just pricing is beyond what my brain can justify for a chip. Are your plaques original as well, or like the reproduction ones currently on eBay? Very jealous if actual props.

Alas, the plaques are just the recent reproductions. I saw an original $10,000 plaque come up on eBay a few years ago, but (much like the original Casino Royale plaques that have occasionally come up for auction) quickly bid up beyond my budget.

The most recent $10 chip I sold was for $175, since I only have a small handful remaining. I think I sold 2 other people multiple chips ~12 years ago when I first procured the box of $10 prop chips; those individuals probably have more available than I do at this point. You'll occasionally see the half chips glued to the 'relic' cards come up on eBay, but typically priced for hundreds of dollars (not that I've seen any sell at that price). To me half a chip isn't a relic, it's a tragedy. :(
